I'll be in and for when I got stuck on a game would be GTA Vice City on the shooting range mission, later on I did complete it though. I've also started reading H.P. Lovecraft books recently.

Thanks

I paid 50 bucks to get an import copy of the psp version of Tales of Eternia, only for it to be one of the copies that has a glitch that makes the game unwinnable. :(

(I'm not entering; I already have the games btw.)
Thanks for the giveaway! I'm in.

I was a huge fan of early id software games. I loved Doom. I played Doom II a lot. I beat it on the other difficulty levels, so I played it on Nightmare. I could not get past the final level (had to look up the name - Icon of Sin). I must have tried hundreds of times. Eventually I gave up. That experience was so frustrating that it actually killed all my interest in all first person shooters for many years.
It's sad that someone with a Cthulu avatar and a Miskatonic U hoodie on has to back out but I don't have a steam account so I'm not in. Still for the love of Lovecraft I'll give a +1.

I did roughly the same thing - tried to beat that level on nightmare. I couldn't stay on the rising pillar long enough for it to fully rise. The spawns were so fast I would inevitably get knocked off the pillar by rockets.
Id have to say Faster than light. I have given up totally on finding the crystal cruiser and destroying the rebel flagship in normal difficulty.

Have some kind of Lovecraft then!

Well, my reading list backlog has certainly grown over the course of this thread, thanks.

I was playing Banjo Kazooie and almost beat the final boss a number of times in a row and then I just stopped caring. I had Septerra Core on disc a while back and I was enjoying it, but I got to a point where it would crash whenever I entered a the area I was supposed to go next, so I eventually gave up on that, and now lost the disc. I got to the final area of FFIX and it kept crashing on one of the minibosses and it wasn't until I borrowed a friend's game years later that I finally beat it. The save was still there, but I decided to play through it again. I got to the last area on FFX-2 and stopped caring. The same with FF12, I was about to enter what I think was the last area, but decided take a break to hunt down some Marks, but I got bored and lost interest. I plan to go back and finish them, but I seriously don't know what is up with FF games because I normally have no trouble finishing rpgs.

Thanks for the giveaway.

For me, the game might be Planet's Edge. I remember I was in the last sector but I was stumped by the (last?) planet's defence ships. Without being able to take them down and access the planet, I was stopped stone-cold.
Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks. I was stuck for at least a year on the song you had to play in the sand area.
Not in :) but Thanks for the giveaway and +1
Not in, but I will leave my experience here.

In Summoner 2 on the PS2, there is a point where you are forced to control a member of your party with no chance to swap. This lug was slow, and swung an axe, not the quick sword I was used to from playing the main character. So at this point, I could get no further, since I kept dying at the hands of the evil little crab mutant things.
Tomb Raider: Anniversary. One of the platforming parts in the last level was so retarted I gave up. Anyone who can finish that game is a superhuman.
On a trip back on memory lane, I have gotten stuck in the following games among others:

3-Demon (PC) - It took 5-8 minutes for the animation of the ghost's mouth to close, when I got caught, because the computer was so slow. The monochrome screen and never realizing there was a map meant I never got much enjoyment of it.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (C64) - Never got past that water level.
are these enjoyable games ?
