Wishbone: Have you tried this? ;-p

Delixe: I was aware of that but its a freeware effort. I was thinking about a full glitzy Gears style freemake. There are plenty of games like Turrican out there especially indies but its not what I am looking for. It also needs a new soundtrack by Chris Hulesbeck ;)

Actually, there's three or four of them. Turrican has been remade a lot. But they are all, as you say, freeware efforts. Nothing wrong with those, I'm doing one myself, but I think you can forget about a big-budget commercial remake. If any studio was willing to do it, rest assured it would be converted into an FPS or TPS.

Archonsod: Birthright : The Gorgon's Alliance.
Total War comes closest I guess, but they lack the economic (and of course magic) aspects of the empire building, and of course the ability to go off on an adventure and fund your kingdom through stolen cutlery. Simply modernising the graphics would be enough for me. And fixing the buggy adventure mode now I come to think of it.

I agree full heartedly, I LOVE that game, together with Lords of Magic it is my absolute favorite game. I have spent so much time on that game, great re playability, and the game is so unique! I mean where else do you get to control you armies in combat? Send your lords on dungeon crawling? And control your kingdoms economics? Incredible game, too bad the graphic is getting dated and that will put a lot of players of. I really deserves more credit than it ever got. Probably to early for its time.
I would also like to see a remake of Lords of Magic, absolutely lovely game!

Secret of Mana would need a remake, for PC, with everything they dropped originally when they rushed the game out.
And also the Neophyte series..
Gangland, love the concept of that game.
Hidden & Dangerous deserves another sequel, both games were groundbreaking tactical shooters imo and they had co-op! All those years ago! xD
Another shout for Chrono Trigger from me, though.
Blood 1-2.
Visual + Audio Upgrade
-Heroes of Might and Magic 2
-Heroes of Might and Magic 3
-Wing Commander series (including Privateer)
-Masters of Orion 2
-Eye of the Beholder series
Full remake
-Fragile Allegiance (fantastic game, but very niche)
Full remake of the twin VTM games would be nice. Fix the bugs in Bloodlines and rewrite the entire story in Redemption...
Police Quest, on a bugfixed and optimized GTA engine. I've always wanted a PQ meets GTA game. A man can dream though, being the good guy isn't cool anymore.;)
A full 3D Jagged Alliance would be nice, especially one that's not butchered by the Russians [sorry guys, You've great ideas, and very bad execution].
And since i'm on a roll, all the other ugly blocky Tomb Raider games [i hate early 3d] remade with the Legend engine.

I agree. Fix the controls and movement but keep the tacticalness and balance somethings out and you got a great remake.
Thief 1 and 2 would make good remakes if done right and it was not dumbed down like thief 3. System shock series could work too. Just as long as they are not like bio shock.
For me, Dune II: The Building Of A Dynasty (Dune II: Battle For Arrakis in PAL regions)
Definitely the original Suikoden for me. There are scenes in that game that were built for 3D, and to see full blown models based on the character portraits would be incredible.

If they ever updated Suikoden 1 to have the graphics and voicework that were part of 5...my god, that'd be mind blowing. The thought of seeing Gremio's "last scene" with full voice and acting brings chills.
Lord knows if they updated 1, they'd HAVE to update 2 as well.
