There are some games that are amazing, but get totally overlooked, either because of poor advertising, or just a single bad review *Cough* God Hand and IGN *Cough* So what games do you think should get more attention. Mine is Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey for the DS because it's a unique take on the monster collecting genre, with a challenging difficulty and mature storyline looking into a void that appeared in the Antarctic called the Schwarzwelt that displays certain aspects of humanity like our nature to start wars, our material greed and gluttony, and our constant destruction of the world.
But Godhand was crap. It's absolutely terrible. Horrific controls, butt ugly, horrible story if thats what you want to call it. :P

Eh, everyone has different tastes, but how long did you play it for?

Indeed. It was a good 3/4 hours. I liked the idea of it but it was just bad. It's awfully like Devil May Cry. The idea is great but the whole thing is just a pile of poo. Especially those controls.
DROD 1+2+3. It's available right here on GOG and it doesn't seem to get a lot of attention. The screenshots don't really do it justice because DROD isn't much to look at, but the gameplay is really unique and fun. I'm normally not a person who even enjoys puzzlers, but something about DROD sucked me right in.

I feel the same way about ZombiU: good ideas, awful execution!
I'm not sure exactly how overlooked this game is but almost no one I know has ever played nor heard of it yet a lot of the things it does are now taken for granted in many Grand Strategy titles like Crusader Kings and Europa UniverSalis. It had a very complex trade and diplomacy system at the time and everything happened in real time. It's only real downfall was the combat system as it was pathetically easy to beat the AI.

The game is Knights of Honour. If you're the type who enjoys RTS and wants to play a less complex version of a Grand Strategy game then I'd recommend it, worth a few hours investment surely.

Edited because I forgot the first S in Universalis!

Interesting, I haven't played many RTSs however.
I think the most overlooked game here (at least it was when I joined in December 2012) is Battle Realms. It scares me that there are so many avid gamers who haven't played this gem.
Chaos Overlords doesn't get nearly enough attention, judging by how far down the bestseller list it is. It might not be much to look at graphically, but it's hands down the most addictive strategy game I've ever played. Anyone who enjoys minimalist boardgame-like strategy games, like the stuff Cryptic Comet puts out (e.g. Armageddon Empires), should definitely check this one out.
I'm going to go with a couple none of you have ever probably heard of.

World of Warcraft (been out for ages, yet no one plays this thing WTF?)

and

Skyrim (Sky WHAT? Yea I know VERY obscure title... I probably have one of less than a couple hundred in the world)

KillingMachine: DROD 1+2+3.
I agree on DROD. It's one of the best puzzle game series ever made and it can easily keep you occupied for hundreds of hours. It really deserves more attention. Hope that a lot of people who bought it in the flash sales will really play it and not just put it in their backlog.

Do you mean Sky rimjob? Isn't that some weird title from Japan?

Some nice answers in these threads,

I add another vote for Chaos Overlords, and also Unholy Heights; maybe it's just my mood right now, but I am enjoying it more than I predicted from the reviews. Don't expect a hotel management sim, which is why I think it got underrated.
La-Mulana. A game that should have been game of the year when it was released on PC. The Souls franchise can't hope to even begin approaching La-Mulana's greatness - and the fans of that franchise should be ashamed for never giving La-Mulana the attention it deserved.

Yeah, I have a grudge.
