That's a real surprise. A free game, and a game that I've never even heard of too! Might just be what I need to curb my boredom during this period. On top of that, it looks fun too!

Well, my first PC (and I'm not counting my MSX, C64 and ZX Spectrum before it) was a 286, with 1 MB of RAM and a massive 40MB HD (which I thought I'd never be able to fill). That was back in 1990.

I remember upgrading my Amiga 500 from 512k to 1MB ram... Whooooo extra features in games :)
I also remember playing Monkey Island 2 in 13 floopy disks... on the Amiga 500.
Good Old Days.

No you don't. Monkey Island 2 was 11 disks, 12 if you counted the "optional" savedisk.
Finding Monkey Island 2 original in the mail was one of the greatest days of my life. Oh, how I miss those days.

Aliasalpha: Ahh extra features like sound in Their Finest Hour! It made all the difference. I had a super fancy upgrade card that could support up to 8MB of memory! Of course I could never get anything more than the 1MB it came with, BLOODY expensive in those days.

Ah, extra features. With my upgrade to 16K, I got MS-Cassette Extended BASIC. It allowed me to have vector graphics.

oh yeah, i had access to a TRS-80, and an Apple IIe (not quite as old)
our first "real" PC was a 128KB dual floppy $1700 Tandy 1000, 16 color capable, mono green monitor

To GOG: Congrats on reaching 100 games, and thanks for the freebie. :-) I seem to remember playing it a little (back in the nineties), and from what I can remember it was pretty fun. I'll probably have a look at it later.
As for the first computer thing - well, mine had 20k RAM, a built in cassette player and a monochrome monitor (also built in...). I am old. :-(
