Have you guys seen PG Porn? The first one was Fillion hamm(er)ing it up with Aria Giovanni. Very funny.
Very safe for work
Washburn did one too.
Washburn turned up in "V", and got killed twice in 3 episodes. He's in "Dollhouse" as "Alpha", the psychotic doll.
Baccarin turned up in the last couple of seasons of SG-1 and the "straight-to-DVD" film spin-offs as another bad-guy, but hey, she's still a very lush woman. woofwoofwoof.
Whedon had to cram about a year and half worth of stories into Serenity : He was lucky, he said, Fox allowed it to be made at all, just to "finish" the Firefly story-arc.
There was talk and rumour of another go at the Firefly series, but after Whedon let his offices go (I think he either sold the building, or just moved out kit-and-kaboodle) that died a very sad death.
Dollhouse isn't a bad show, as long as you ignore the rather large gaping plot-holes, but it's not Firefly...but TBH, I still say it's time he told Fox where to shove their studios, and move to another network. Sci-Fi seem to be doing well with good stories. Sorry, SyFy
i love it so much. the intro song almost makes me cry every time.
I enjoyed Firefly shame it got canceled would have been interesting to see how the story developed.

Egotomb: Bring back Blakes 7 I say!

I'm sure Sky 1 were looking to do that but I haven't heard anything more on it for a while.

They should do audio plays, way cheaper. Sell em for like $5 and rake in money hand over fist
Firefly is my favourite TV show ever. The movie's good, but not as much as any of the episodes were.
Firefly was one of my favorite shows . . . one of the more enjoyable sci-fi shows in a long while. From what I understand, the movie "Serenity" was an attempt to answer all the questions the 14 episode series created for fans.
BTW, Summer Glau has played a Terminator on Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles for a couple of seasons.
All about the rating in the end . . .

Firefly was pure excellence with lots of awesomeness on top. I was quite pissed when I learned of its cancellation.
It was pretty awesome.
I wonder if it's early cancellation prevented it's inevitable long slow decent into drug-addled mediocrity.
Live fast and die young! It's the way to eternity.
A little bit overrated IMO, but I love the show, though!
I really wished that Fox continued the series, cause even if I really really like the first season, well... it looked like a first season. With a lot of good points (new and refreshing) and few bad points (a lack of time to really develop the characters deeply, lack of money,etc...).
The second season would have been really awesome imo.
The way they dealt with 2 of the characters in serenity (youll know if youve seen it) really pissed me off. Why did they need to go and have them di...do that ?
I was surprised by that as well. All the characters sorta grew on you with each adding to the shows appeal. I was hoping that a Firefly movie might be released every few years but find that doubtful.
On the other hand, adding new characters would change the dynamics of the group considerably. Since we will likely never see another Firefly movie/show . . . I guess we will never know . . .=)
Edit: Fairly large cast when you think about it

I saw Serenity first, then checked out Firefly, and I have to say I'm gutted it got cancelled.
I'm a fan of SF series, but it seems like a few good ones have been shortened or cancelled. The Sarah Connor Chronicles was another that ended rather abruptly, and the 4400 was perhaps a season shorter than intended (mostly writers strike to blame for that though).
I've started watching Flash Forward, V and of course there's always Heroes (or poor man's 4400 as I know it). However V is the only one that looks like it might be quite good, the others are a bit hit-and-miss.
I started watching it only recently (just finished watching disc 2). It's pretty good but I agree with the others who said that the dialogue can be hit or miss. The "aw shucks" Westernisms would be corny even in a Western movie, the little hick mechanic girl's lines are insufferable, the Chinese interjections are intriguing but sound really false/forced. I guess it would work better if the actors were of a higher caliber.
Still, the show is not without charm, and some of the plot lines have been pretty good. I would say in my opinion it's overrated but still well worth watching. It's only one season (plus full-length movie "Serenity") so hopefully that means it won't have time to "jump the shark" like so many other shows that start out well and then fizzle.

1. I'm a huge fan of the series, the film, and the cast. They were just a great bunch, and yes, it always did really seem like they were having way too much fun on set when they were shooting.
2. PG Porn is hilarious. I think Alan Tudyk's skit is better, but Fillion's was the first I saw, and that pretty much set the bar.
3. For all the comic/cartoon buffs, it's fun how so many of the show's cast members ended up doing voiceover work for DC Animation. When Justice League: Unlimited hit, a good number of Firefly crew ended up doing roles for DC superheroes. Fillion became Vigilante, Baccarin was the Black Canary, Torres was Vixen, Baldwin did Jonah Hex...
4. And oh yeah, Jewel Staite as Keller on SG: Atlantis. Adorable. Though I did like Beckett, and it was a shame he basically had to die so they could bring her in.

The way Fox dumbed down the first 6 episodes to make it have 'broader market appeal, or whatever, is what killed it. The only gaping plot hole that I noticed in the series was Eliza Dushku's acting (she seems to only have one setting: pouty).

Stuff: BTW, Summer Glau has played a Terminator on Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles for a couple of seasons now.

That show died because the guy that played John Connor couldn't act his way out of a wet paper bag. Summer Glau rocked in it though. She was was a cute little robo-ballerina... that would throw grown men across rooms and through walls.
