Well with the announcement of the final DLC can the inevitable Game of the Year edition be far behind??
There have been rumors of an 'Ultimate Edition' for a while now. I wouldn't be surprised to see it. I would be surprised if it contains all the DLC though.

The GameStop listing had it at full price, so bundling all the DLC isn't out of the question. Its listed release date conveniently coincided with Fallout: New Vegas. It makes sense that EA would want to re-release it in this manner to compete against Obsidian's new game (especially with Dragon Age II too far away to serve this purpose).

I'm pretty sure the Ultimate Edition will come with everything like the Fallout GOTY edition did. Although if they are going to include all the pre-order bonuses as well thats going to start most characters with one packed inventory.
All DLCs - yep. All pre-order bonuses? Not going to happen. I'd guess they're bringing even more "ultimate or GotY editions" with different bonuses for different distributors.
Not that it matters mind you - the game is modable, so their will be all-bonuses-mods around rather quickly. Or you just make your own, better items. :)
A GOTY edition of DA:O will be interesting. For the moment, and until it is actually released, I will wait.
I'll get the GOTY edition someday for a (hopefully) DRM-free copy of all the DLC and an easier install process... when it's cheap-cheap, I mean. Same with Fallout 3.
As for the final DLC, I look forward to it. The Leiliana one was very good. Haven't played the Golem one, but I hear it's decent. Sucks they're releasing this and the latest Mass Effect DLC on the same day though.
Sorry DA, but ME2 takes priority.
All these DLCs piss me off. Basically unless you have to, there is zero reason to buy a game even close to release date. You better wait 12-18 months to get the game with all the DLCs in a GOTY edition for the price of one DLC during the first year of the game's release.

Depends, some people like myself were after a game exactly like DA:O so I would rather buy it at launch than Generic Shooter #462. As for the DLC I have been buying it as it was released and at no point did I feel short changed as most of them were under €4.
I've avoided all DLCs like the plague and curse the day DLCs started.
But how long is the gameplay in Leliana's Song? If it's long and good enough, I might get it.

It's 3 hours. It's a decent DLC if you don't mind the retcon and the re-use of areas from DAO and Awakening. Good soundtrack, Captivity stands out as a very nice track.
Folks who don't mind the retcon too much will probably say it's the best DLC. I would too except i really mind it ;)

Sheesh, 3 hours, guess I save up for a GoG game instead.

Well you get to play it much sooner and you support the dev team more... same reason people buy any game early.
It's weird with all this DLC it seems every two weeks there is a new one. How is the Golem one? I think I am gonna pass on the Leliana's song one, she was never really a favorite character...Unless the bonus for the regular game is good. How is the Darkspawn DLC? So confused.

Leiliana is the best one, even if you never dug her. The narrative is strong and the music is new and it's just well produced. I also think it's a bit of insight into how DA2 will work with the spoken dialogue. The only issue with it really is it's only 3 hours, but that's average for all this DLC for better or worse.
The Darkspawn one is well known to be terrible, as is Ostaggar, I wouldn't bother with either. I have Ostaggar and it was pointless.
I bought the Golem one, people like it... it's combat focused... I haven't played it yet.
