robobrien: How big are the fights and how challenging are the individual enemies? It's not getting into Dynasty Warriors territory i hope.
cw8: On Nightmare, it's really hard. A normal ranking enemy Archer can stun your mage and disrupt almost all manner of spellcasting, although you still can kill it with staff bolt attacks. 3 of them together can kill your mage without your mage being able to do anything. You know the Emissary fight with lots of archers in the demo, well yeah, I've tried it there trying to lure them out with my mage died in 3 seconds, couldn't even move. In the demo there was no interrupts or stun and I could move freely in Nightmare. Had to use the Warrior to defend against the archers and my mage to do the dmg.
The individual soldiers are pretty resonable on Nightmare. Your 2H Warrior should be good at dishing out melee AE attacks if swarmed, just keep him healed. And thus far it's always overwhelming odds against your 3 member party. If you play on a lesser difficulty other than Nightmare, the game should seem like an action RPG, lots of mobs, they die quickly, no FF thingy. On Nightmare, it's probably the same number of mobs, however some fights now seem semi impossible. I had to do extensive kiting to win some fights. And the 2 fights in the city I could lure the enemy to the guards, and have the guards fight for me as well. I could try fighting that with my 3 injured party members, but that's against like 9 other mobs and 1 elite boss.
Thanks. I don't think i will play it on Nightmare (Hard maybe), but still it doesn't sound like quite the pushover i have read about or a total switch to an arpg experience.
