We take our games way too seriously sometimes, silly vids usually are a good way to just have a laugh and relax a bit ;)

We'll just go into knowing that I'm rather tolerant to the changes that have been made as you know from our discussions in the topic. It took warming up with the combat and there are probably certain things I could nitpick but other things sound like they could be neat (the way coercion works now sounds pretty neat and the fact that the rival meter basically makes it so you can still roleplay the way you want without worrying about someone leaving the party).

I am going into it feeling very excited despite the naysaying and such that I've read all over the place. An open mind is important for new installments. Once I see how things actually play out, then I'll let you folks know my impressions before I head to bed tomorrow. :)

Thanks. Personally my enthusiasm has been somewhat blunted by the relentless naysayers, although the 11th still cannot come quickly enough. Impressions will be most welcome.

Based on this post I've decided to not purchase Dragon Age II.

If i were to say i'm confortable with the responsabilty i'd be lying.

I hope you're basing part of your decision on the cutdown in terms of writing, characters and lenght and apparent shift in focus towards a game with a lot more cinematics and alot less of everything else hinted by the figures on the first link, and not just on the apparent 'compatibility' between the power rangers track and DA2's 'style, even if said compatibility is a tad scarry ;)

Apparently the game is unlocked in Asia now, so those of you living there can play.

Granted I already pretty much knew that I wasn't going to get Dragon Age 2, but those videos really brought the point home. If the focus is even more on cinematics and story, then I fear that I may find the story a tad too juvenile for my acquired tastes.

Besides, Shogun 2 is out in a week, and I don't want any distractions.

Definitely more cinematics, and in that sense, yeah, more story, even if the writing was prunned up the wahzoo.

Not enough time, now that is something i totally relate to right now. After having sworn never to touch another X game ever, i made a terrible mistake and booted up X3TC. I swear, the moment i found myself flying around in my pos Sabre in some Terran sector i almost felt life being sucked away from me ;)

Hope that attempt at quoting works, apparently the auto-attack for consoles didn't get put in the game, just thought I'd let everyone know.

Hopefully Best Buy didn't forget about my preorder from November.

I got the Signature Edition for $50 when everyone else is selling it for $60, pretty sweet deal I think.

For a game that went gold a few weeks ago they managed to let a lot of stuff slip through. The readme for the PC version also lists some bugs that were not fixed before release, at least one is a game breaker requiring going back to a previous save. It can be avoided if you know before hand but still annoying.

Also anyone who had the Blood Dragon Armor in ME2/DA:O now has it added to their account for use in DA2. The Facebook target was also reached so you should also have the item Of things not lost.

So let me get this straight. If I'm holding the bought retail copy of Dragon Age 2 in my hands tomorrow, I cannot play it until the release date has passed?

BUT whoever has gotten it from the dark depths of internet, he/she CAN play it immediately?

Not unless it is cracked. It seems the release date check actually downloads the exe for the game and then uninstalls itself. Pirates will only be able to play if they can get a cracked exe which will take them.... oh about 20 mins.
