They can kiss my non-Euro usin' ass. PLN exchange for Euros is bloody highway robbery, I say!

Zeewolf: In this case, though, Wishbone is right.

I'm sorry, but not he's not correct as far as my money is concerned. And as I am the one who spends my money, I am the only one who can determine whether pricing in Euro is acceptable for me. And it isn't.
wait a second...
what's the connection between dotemu and gog? why do they link ishar, requiem to gog shop?
A true fail.

DotEmu is the publisher of Ishar and Robinson's Requiem. I think it's just like EA who put their published games on various DD store even though they have their own EA Store.

LOL. Well, whatever. As long as you have good reasons, eh. :-)

Laugh all you want. At least I'm not wasting my money on Euro priced products when I can use that money better by buying with a different currency =)

Well, you don't waste any money in this case. That's the thing. There is no other price (in dollars/whatever), therefore those losses are purely hypothetical/imaginary. That's why your response seemed... well, quite silly.
I know what you're talking about with the exchange rates of the Euro - my country uses another currency (kroner), and as the Euro is strong right now that means I have to pay more in my own currency than I would if the Euro was weak. Obviously. But in the end, I don't lose or gain anything, because the price is what it is. I just have to focus on the actual value, not the currency or conversion rates.

Ah, there's the problem. You're assuming that I'm just going to pony up the extra and buy the game in Euro because there's no alternative. But there are alternatives. Namely, other games priced in a better currency. And, especially with older games, I'm fully prepared to either wait until they are offered for sale by someone using a better currency (and at a comparable price) or to simply do without that game and get one of the others that interests me instead.
There simply is no need for me to purchase in Euros. Ever.

bansama: Again, it's the value that counts, not the currency. There is no such thing as a "better" currency. That's just nonsense. Of course you're ignoring everything I say, so there's no point in trying to explain it again. I forgot that logic doesn't work in an internet discussion.

You obviously don't follow exchange rates.

I do. Exchange rates change over time. The Euro is high now, it can be low tomorrow.
The bottom line is that you're not losing any money, because the item is on sale for a specific value that just so happens to be in Euro.

I don't want to get VERY involved in this discussion, but I think there's a misunderstanding here. If I'm not mistaken, Zeewolf says you don't know how much it'd cost in USD, as it isn't given as an option. Not likely, but maybe a game sold on DotEmu for X EUR would be sold for 2X USD, which would mean it's a better deal in Euros.
On the other hand, I understand why you want to only stick to places offering goods for USD.
Back on topic, I see potential in the new competitor, but I doubt I will use it. Also, I'll only take it well if it caters for seekers of ROMs in a legal way. If they start expanding into the area GOG plays in and "snatch" games or even whole publishers, meaning they will only appear on/give games to DotEmu's site, that wil annoying, to say the least.
