Not planning on spending any money on this after the debacle that the director’s cut was/is. Fortunately I didn’t spend any money for the DC. I was very close though because I love Deus Ex Human Revolution and its DLC, The Missing Link. Luckily I waited and read some reviews and comments first. Apparently, Eidos messed up the Director’s Cut for PC tremendously. And they haven’t fixed it till today. So, again, I’m not spending any further money on a Square Enix/Eidos game and rather stay with the original Deus Ex Human Revolution.

The Fall is fun but very short; I finished it in about five hours (including all the side missions I could find). PC features are lacking--in particular the controls can't be remapped--but performance and load times are good. I didn't have any noteworthy glitches (just the occasional visual clipping during takedown/vaulting animations) and it never crashed.
The Human Revolution look and feel is retained despite the mobile limitations so it's definitely worth a look if you're a fan but you'll probably want to wait for a sale since there isn't that much content for the asking price (although there is a New Game Plus feature that keeps unlocked weapons and augmentations). The ending says the story will continue although there has been nothing ever since the game first launched on iOS last year; perhaps something will actually happen now that the PC version has been released.

It*'s got to be more than that as CatShannon said (s)he loved the DLC, too, so according to that the Director's Cut seems to be more (or less) than the sum of HR + DLC?

I played through the Human Revolution Director's Cut version. Didn't notice any bugs or whatnot. The only change that I noticed was that it turned the boss fights from infuriating messes into minor inconveniences that I wouldn't have even complained about if they had been like that in the original.
...and there was that Missing Link integration too.
Played it on my old computer, so if there were serious performance issues, they didn't affect my 5 years old PC.

Edit: These are the posts that have screenshots showing the reduced detail/texture/lighting issues with the Director's Cut:

Also, the Eidos forums. The best evidence are the screenshot comparisons.

not srue if its been mentioned but if you get it from here you get limited time get Deux Ex GOTY for free - which i admit isnt great for the fans as they would already have it.
oh and i had to go into my local store manually to find it, the normal www.deusex.com/thefall is not updated yet to link through to their page for the steam purchase.
yes this is a cross post from the deals thread but meh.

Can't agree here, it's very much a normal Deus Ex game in this respect. You can move about the city districts as you choose and do missions in whatever order. The levels have a lot of different paths to get where you want to go, multiple entrances, etc. It's not any more linear than Invisible War.
