StingingVelvet: Pre-ordered because I'm an idiot.

Don't make my mistake.

That said I am salivating to play some new Deus Ex tomorrow. Even if it's a piece of shit.
You will be our test lab rat so you can share your experience with us - say if it's any good, if you played the mobile say what's different from it :D

It's what, $15? It's not that much of an investment, even if it feels like a sample instead of a main course. I'm gonna wait to hear your opinion on it first though, before I snag it myself. :D

I can at least assure you that it is a very good game on iOS, though as Cormoran said, with an unfinished story line.
(oh man how I hate episodic releases...)

Yeah, I haven't really been playing video games lately but I will make sure I play this for at least a little while tomorrow so I can offer advice.

It's reportedly a pretty full Deus Ex experience on tablets, so who knows.
I'm going to buy it as soon as it gets rid of Steam and all other kinds of DRM.
I saw this the other day on GamersGate, then again on Humble Store. On Humble they say it comes as a DRM-free version, and I am wondering with the release of one or more Hitman games this week here on GOG if Square Enix have decided to drop a few of their latest (and now no longer big selling) games onto GOG DRM-free too?
I would if this does come here with DX:HR, jump for joy then wait for a sale to buy them both. With my backlog I can afford to wait them out these days.
I was sold at "28 Steam achievements" !!! Yayyyy achievemeeeents !!! And not one, or two, or even TEN !! But TWENNTY EIIIIGHT !!
Okay so if you really love the Deus Ex style, mood and music and such I think this is worth your time. It nails the atmosphere and it feels like more Deus Ex as you play it.

However it's also a really basic mobile port, with no jumping, weird menus and controls and on and on. If you expect this to be a PC game you will be bitterly disappointed. The mouse aim is fine though, surprisingly.

So where are your priorities, gents?

Any specific questions throw them at me, I'm about an hour in.

I'll wait to see what you think when you've finished it.

How big is the map?

Are there side quests?

How's the frame rate?
P.S. The voice acting is horrible, and I usually don't notice that type of shit.

I'll answer the first two after my next playsession, it's just been two linear missions in a row so far. There has to be a hub world eventually though, right? RIGHT?

The framerate is fine, game looks smooth and runs smooth. Like I said even mouseaim feels perfect. They did a much better job porting this to PC than I expected. Still it's mobile origins shine through in gameplay limitations and menus.

I loved DX:HR but I'm not paying 10 euros for a mobile game. Waiting for a steep discount to buy it. In the mean time I guess I'll give DX:HR another go :)
Is it actually available DRM-free?

Edit: apparently not; that marker has gone from Humble Store. :-(

Steam reviews are piling on with the hate atm. Obviously, I think it's probably from people who maybe didn't realize that it was a mobile port in the first place.

I'm still on the fence, because I WANT more Deus Ex, but I also still have other games to finish up too.
Glad that I picked this when it was for pennies on Google Play store few weeks ago.
