The Malkavian mod is amazing. If you put on the extra special options, the NPCs all become basketballs. :P

Did you try all available renderers? You replace the original deusex.exe with the altered one + you add or overwrite the renderer libraries in the 'system' folder with the one provided by the author. Should work out of the box after that...

Maybe a problem with the DRM? I've heard of D2D games having problems with patches and mods that work on other versions.

But the DRM shouldn't be an issue since the main executable is being replaced with the modded one. Weird...
