shane-o: It's great news if quicksave/quickload really is included :D
Confirmed. You can Quick Save & Quick Load in DE:HR.

I think everyone is pretty "meh" about the boss fights but those are easy to over look (like Joker fight in Batman: AA) as long as the rest of the game is quality. Can't wait to get home and play this tonight!

Smannesman: Deus Ex: Human Revolution actually decent?
Might be a decent game but decent successor to the original game? I highly doubt it (or rather I laugh at the notion after what I've seen so far of this "human revolution").

Having played the leak, I'd say that it exceeds its predecessor in awesomeness... Of course, every single person who condemns any possible change from a classic, ugly and unintuitive interface to a more userfriendly (which does not mean consolized, okay) one will despise it. And good for them, us who aren't elitist snobs will go have fun.

EDIT: FULL DISCLOSURE: Due to shitty AI I find the original Deus Ex very difficult to play.

Fix the AI and make it so you know when you're goddamn hidden. That's what broke the original for me.
In response to cheesy Darth Vader "Noooooooooooooooo"

The broken AI was part of the charm for me. It must be a personal preference thing, I think, because I disagree on that point. Not knowing when you were hidden was a problem, though.
It'll be unlocked on the 26th for me. This morning Steam downloaded something for Deus Ex, I wonder what was it ?

I can see the broken AI being charming, but I don't play a game like Deus Ex to be charmed, honestly. So yeah, personal preference.

Not knowing when you were hidden was the REAL deal-breaker. Fix that and I could almost deal with the clumsy AI and Large Ham voice actors (which were great nonetheless, I must admit -- Gunther's line about the soda machines is probably immortal.) But stealth, due to really bad communication to the player on how well-hidden they are, was necessarily trial-and-error. You HAD to die, multiple times, to effectively use a stealthy approach, and that's just bad design.
That's by far the worst DeusEx, as it is a Steam game.
From reading the comments here it really does sound like a good game. That's great to hear - I loved the original, and this is so much better than hearing more stories about how sequels don't live up to the name.
Still early on but I find myself to be enjoying it quite a bit. StingingVelvet pretty much nailed how I would describe it. Generally speaking, everything is well done, and it feels like a PC game. It took a bit of adjusting with the mouse early on to get it just right, but now things feel pretty smooth. Interface and everything is pretty solid, and it does not feel like a lazy/terrible port by any means.

Graphically, eh. The style of the world is great, no argument, but the actual graphical quality is pretty outdated in some areas. Then again, if I remember right, so was the first Deus Ex when it came out, so we can just pretend this one is staying true to the series.

What surprised me is the various amount of ways to get through the first real level (not the prologue section). I knew there would be various methods for getting through, but when I retraced my steps post-mission, I saw just how much I missed. Can't wait to see what is ahead now and what they have done with other environments.

I am only about three hours in, but enjoying it a great deal so far.
