FraterPerdurabo: Mind you, it was a complete troll post.
The entire goal was to get XmXFLUXmX to post something remotely rational, which he did.
I was hoping that maybe the irony would hit some switch in his brain. We'll see.

Other than that, I didn't mean to offend you, but please do think of the future of your children.
Singularity of thought is a very dangerous thing.
I saw his username and almost down voted from force of habit, but amazingly, he did post something rational. That was some fine trolling you did there :)

Rumour is that these kids were also seen in an AFA demonstration.

XmXFLUXmX: What does a bunch of "urban youths" [ages 11-13] torturing animals have to do with Republicans? This wouldn't happen to be you lying and twisting a terrible story to fit your political agenda, would it?
Apart from it being in Texas, which would be an extremely tenuous inference to make, I don't see anything that suggests a party affiliation.

Usually when it's GOP and cruelty it's things like forcing women to carry rapists' babies to term or torturing detainees. I don't believe anybody would have those views if they themselves were the ones that had to do it or deal with the consequences. Most people just don't have the guts to deal with as anything other than an abstract concept.

In this case I just can't see why one would assume that the kids even have a party affiliation at that age. Especially not one that they'd chose.

Lou: Not offended in the least and this probably has more to do with "Crowd Mentality" than with any kind of "indoctrination". While trying to live and raise ones family "by the book" also realize there is a free will involved.
Your free will is included indeed, but this reminds me of a little debate that I had with a friend of mine a while ago.
A little background: she is Lebanese and so is her boyfriend. I saw the two of them for drink during a football game. Was it the World Cup or the Euro - cannot remember (soccer).

And basically, I asked him something along the lines of "I know that Lebanon is a fairly liberal country as far as the Arab nations go, but tell me, does a teenage girl really have a choice as to whether she wears a burka or not? Or is it her father's choice?"
And the girl told me immediately that it was not her own choice. She didn't have to wear it because her father decided so, but many of her friends had to.

So really, what is the extent that you would tolerate you children from deviating from the book?
avatar
FraterPerdurabo: I was appalled.

XmXFLUXmX: Maybe gays shouldn't sneak their way into the Republican party and try and subvert it from within, while expecting a welcome wagon with the red carpet unfurled for them? We just had one of these snakes in Missouri come out as a flaming queen, and his whole motive for that was to promote the gay agenda in class rooms, to young children of course.
I bet you like those snakes, eh? Wiggling up into your classroom, so to speak.

It was a tenuous affiliation, as you, and the poster above just pointed out.

e: eh, ninja'd, but I was referring to post #20!

This is why I'm not likely to ever be a Republican, I just can't stand this sort of vile bigotry that you're expressing. You had a point earlier in the thread, but in the meantime you've pretty much blown it by showing yourself to be an extremist.

For some reason it's not a "straight agenda" when you folks are trying to pretend that gays and lesbians don't exist, but suddenly it's a "gay agenda" to point out to students that gays and lesbians exist and should be shown due respect.

You must have had some bad associations before - My children are all free to choose their own path. I simply raise them how I see my responsibility that has been given to me as their father. Any path they choose does not stop me from being their father. Kind of like God with all of us. We may not choose to follow his will but he does not stop loving us. Example: I have a daughter who is living with her soon to be husband. My will would have been to see them married first. However, I love and support them both and will be glad for them both when they are married this summer.

I don't agree with your view, but I definitely respect the way that you're handling it. I wish more people would have that maturity and wisdom.

This just in, homosexuals aren't allowed to believe in reduced government and a balanced budget.

And evidently Democrats are not allowed to be Fundamental Christians ;-)

Well, to be fair, neither are Republicans. Badum-tish.
I think it would be better to just ignore that guy. Trying to have a rational discussion with an extremist is like trying to talk to a wall. Except the wall might at least give you an echo if you're in the right place.

Absolutely not. Democrats are all godless heathens and they all do drugs, or something, apparently.

Ron Paul is in it to win it!

I can really respect that. But I do hope that this goes farther than simply marriage.

Look, the entire point was not about what gays do, or what niggurs do,etc.
It was about what they don't do. It was about the fact that people are people, regardless of their race or nationality. Race or nationality has nothing to do with the problems of your country (to the extent that any country has problems with immigration).

Of course - But #1. There is not enough time or room in this type of forum to go into more examples, and 2. These are personal things that are not really best aired in this type of forum. Let the example given stand as that - an example on how to handle these issues.
