To be honest, I think I probably focus on windows Icons a bit too much, but I am also supremely dissatisfied with the circle icons that GOG provides for each game. That being said, I was wondering if GOG would be willing to create a small selection of Icons that would be available for download with every purchase? I have never been a fan of circular icons, but there is very little choice when it comes to finding other styles of icons. (Square or rectangular are my personal favourites)

Is this something that GOG.com would be willing to consider?

This was brought up when they switched to the circular icons. I still miss the classic icons but I don't see GOG providing them again.

Edit: I seem to recall a blue posting on this matter but I don't recall the thread.

I don't remember the classic icons ... Oh right ... the shiny game cover icons.

I didn't like those either, but it's better than the circle icons.

I think it would be great if they used the 'Avatar' style for their icons.

Take a look here. Quite a few are missing though, and games released after some point no longer had the old icons.

Great resource ... thanks for sending the link!
Interesting thing. Actually, I never really realized that but now that I read it it will surely bother me : DD
I cannot stand GOG's icons and habitually make my own to replace them.
More options to fondle the fuck around with this is always good

I agree. :)
+1 to this thread. Hope they return to old classic square icons.
Some of the games' exe-files contain additional icons.

The more I think about it, the more I realize how nice the old icons were.

Although, I have a feeling GOG Galaxy will solve all of these problems. At least I hope it does.

There's only on GOG icon and one TinyE is more than enough...
I agree. There's a few of them that are so compacted that I can't even tell what they are.

I was thinking the same! In fact, i am a Steam user switching my self into GOG; i must admit DRM free is the most important feature for my prefference, but the lack of a client which manage my downloads, updates and other stuff kinda keep me into Steam, even they have DRM.

I ask GOG to be an Alpha tester for Galaxy, still waiting my invitation to download it and give a try, but no response yet :(

Anyway, i do believe the GOG Game client will solve this manner, and with some luck, attract more users into GOG!
