Hmm, I don't own a single of this bundle yet. I'll probably buy at least the basic version, I just don't know whether I want to pay nearly double price for getting The Shivah and Metal Dead as well. I probably can get those games eventually for a dollar each from other sales (GamersGate, Indievania) if I want them. Hmmmm ... :)

SirPrimalform: Dave Gilbert has been leaking screens of a new game recently... I think it may be the next in-house Wadjet Eye game:

It will be as in-house as Gemini Rue, Da New Guys and Resonance, but not be written by Dave Gilbert. In fact, it seems to be another half-finished project they're trying to help see the light of day: Primordia

Yay! From what I've seen of it, it'd very sad for this to fall apart.

I wonder if really almost noone interested in the bundle anymore or if everybody (like me) is waiting for further price drops ;). At the time the first extra will be unlocked (if ever) the minimum price will be 0$. Strange.

I don't think the price drops are linear, or are they? My impression was that the amount of sales necessary to drop the price further increases after each drop.

That said, the sales strategy for the bundle is indeed a bit odd. For everyone who's _not_ interested in the bonus (or in keeping the price low), it's best to wait until the last minute with the purchase. This way, they don't create as much momentum right now as they could. This strategy does, however, keep the average price rather high, since the cheapskates like me aren't buying yet, so they don't drop the average.

It's an interesting strategy and I'm curious whether it'll work out. My guess is that you need a really good "beat the average" bonus section to make it work, and the one in this bundle might not be strong enough, especially considering that The Shivah has just been another bundle as well.
until now, as far as I followed, the price drops by 5 cent every 500 sales. Maybe they will change this system later on.
There is an faq here. Apparently, the lowest it can go is 0.99$.

That said, I am really interested in Gemini Rue, because it reminds me of Beneath a Steel Sky. Though it's a bit strange that Gemini Rue has disappeared from the Steam store. I can't find it in my Steam client, but it was there a few days ago. I wonder if I will be able to activate it on Steam if I buy the bundle.

I see it: http://store.steampowered.com/app/80310

Would be strange if the game is restricted in Bulgaria....

Well, I ended up picking up the bundle. Since all 5 of the games that I already owned from it are excellent, I decided I might as well take a chance on the remaining 2.

Seriously, the decision to include so many games from previous bundles is highly questionable. There must have been other good indie adventure games available! Did they have so much trouble convincing developers to join?

They should have included the Chzo Mythos games. :D

It can be found using google.com. But it can't be found using the game browser in store.steampowered.com or the search engine inside the steam store webpage. The same applies to the client itself.

My guess is they wanted to present the best of the best or at least games that are very dear to the organizers themselves? Still a little late when two third of the games are already well-known as most awesome titles. Or maybe they wanted the top sellers to draw attention to the underdogs, but it seems this strategy isn't really working out this late into the indie bundle hype. :/

Bought for a $5.85, beated the average got all the games. Happy.

I found it using the steam store webpage search earlier by typing "Gemini" and selecting from the dropdown, but that doesn't seem to work anymore.... Actually typing "Rue" finds the game (in the dropdown, not by pressing enter), but "Gemini Rue" does not. Weird.

Those are freeware though.

Come to think of it, outside of Wadjet Eye and Amanita Design games, I have a hard time thinking of good commercial indie adventure games.

There's Jolly Rover, but that's been in HIB.

Kaptain Brawe maybe? I enjoyed it anyway.
To the Moon would have been a great addition.
What else is out here?

In any case, if Wadjet Eye included The Shivah in Indie Royale's recent bundle without talking it over with Kyttaro first, they should apologize and throw in Puzzle Bots into BiaB as an extra. Or maybe Emerald City Confidential, if they can do it without legal problems with PlayFirst.

I really don't know if Yahtzee was very generous or very silly when he decided to make his games freeware. Especially The Chzo Mythos quadrilogy is amazing. I wouldn't hesitate to pay at least $5 for each of them (The Shivah, which is a nice game - albeit short - costs exactly $4.99).
