My impression was - definitely less dark/grim, also more reaction- and timing-oriented puzzles than "guess how to do that" ones.

Well, I guess Limbo has to have the dark/grim theme to it (which was creepy in a good way). It was a very short game though, so I was glad I got it in a Steam sale (the Xmas sale a few months ago) so that it cost next to nothing.
