From the makers of Cities in Motion. Looks promising. Seems like you zone tiles like in Simcity.
"Play offline" - I see what you did there, Paradox.
Very promising, crossing fingers it does become a proper alternative to the SC series - Cities XL, for example, sadly underdelivered on too many fronts to become "the next big thing" in the genre.
Looks nice, hope it will be good and can actually compete with Simcity 4. One sad thing is that Paradox seems to do Steam-exclusives these days so I doubt it will come here. If it does, probably a few years after several DLC releases.
Ooh, made by Colossal Order! So gonna get that game when it releases :D

Heheh, yeah, that was clever.
Will it have a proper simulation though? Cities XL was completely static, you build stuff and nothing happens afterwards, nothing changes. You can build profitable city, go eat, sleep and to work and come back, and it's still the same profitable city. Only now you are rich.

That's the opposite of a city builder imo. Cities XL was nothing but a sandbox with a few game systems tacked on. Let's hope this doesn't take inspiration from that.

True on the Steam only, but they are usually DRM free. It's also supposed to be coming to Linux too!

I wish Paradox would branch out a bit from the Steam only thing, but they are doing DRM free and Linux, and 2 out of 3 aren't bad :)

Where can you get their games DRM-free? I think maybe Gamersgate, or their website?
My dreamcity is a dystopian ruin populated by street thugs, so that is possible to build too?

Almost all of the steam games from Paradox are DRM-free.

Yeap, pretty much. Simcity's buildings changes depending on demand and the major factors like pollution, traffic, education etc. Hope they model this game after Simcity instead of CitiesXL.

I wouldn't call anything on Steam DRM-free. It would be nice if Paradox gave their customers the option to buy it elsewhere if they want to. I would buy most of their games here if I could.
Smcity ?? What is this? Some kind of Domina-Simulator or what?? :D

Agreed. I have EU4 and CK2, and really enjoy them. It's unfortunate that Paradox is willing to alienate the people who won't / can't use Steam.

Paradox ? You mean the DLC Company ?
