Fifeldor: Regardless of what happens, I will probably get all games before the end of the deal, as it is too good to ignore. However a simple "we do not know as of yet" would be enough (if anything people would rush to get the games) and truthful, rather than seeing titles being removed from the store without previous notice.

ShadowWulfe: Chill out and email support. Maybe word it like, "If I get these, will they be taken off My Games list when you lose the license?" I really doubt that they are trying to be disingenuous.

Fifeldor: There's no point in emailing them, as the games will be available for purchasers, even if they're pulled from the store. A public comment would be cool though, even if it's a no-answer answer.
Honestly I think they are not wanting to say anything because they don't know what is going to happen as there is still what a entire year or so before Interplay losses the rights so I really don't see what the point of saying anything now since again like with the D&D games they could work something out and get to keep the games before then and saying something now, if they can't get something resolved at least a few weeks before deadline then yes I agree they should give a heads up that there going to be pulled from sale, since they know that the games are going to be pulled well in advanced. But to say something now is just silly and pointless as I'm sure that if we know that the Interplay is going to lose the rights that GOG knows as well so why confirm that? .

Coelocanth: Why are people panicking about this now? From what I understand, Interplay's license to sell Fallout 1, 2, and Tactics doesn't expire for over a year (December 31, 2013), so why would GOG even have any kind of announcement at this point?
Because a year from now people will probably be like WTF!?

I like to think they know what they're doing, but if something was on the horizon that could affect my customers, I wouldn't wait until the last minute to address it. If a business doesn't know what it's going to be doing a year from now, well...

Who says they don't know what they're going to be doing a year from now? That's quite a stretch from not knowing exactly what the situation will be with a particular license or a handful of games.

If they're negotiating with Beth/Zeni currently, they're certainly not going to say anything publicly about it. As someone else noted, businesses just don't talk about current, on-going negotiations. That's a quick way to kill any kind of deal.

Well, we have no way of knowing what they're doing, unless they say something. You've got people saying "So what, that's a long time from now" and "Noooo! What's going to happen?" If they peruse the boards they obviously know people are already asking the question. I don't think it would hurt for them to say something, even if it's "We're working on it." We certainly don't need to be privy to their specific business dealings, but the thought of this being tossed about for the next year on the boards hurts my head.

Shame really. Guess I should have joked about hats and gremlins, then someone would have answered.

I bought the bundle regardless, I am downloading everything right now, even the crappy games I'll never play.

Bethesda is weird about digital delivery sometimes, wouldn't shock me if they pulled the games. That said I doubt people who own them would lose them. That only happens in a rights catastrophe scenario.
