Have an old machine, core2 duo, e8600, 480gtx, 8mb ram, and runs fine.

If yours is better, maybe a setting thing.

That's far better than mine, and it runs the recent CoD games just fine.

The last machine I had with 8mb ram was a 386.....
Goes back to my coding days, I've always been behind.

When the world was running p3's, I was still coding on a 386sx. I figured if I could create product that was fast enough on my machine, the world wouldn't bitch (or sue), given performance on theirs :-)

COD World At War is poorly optimized compared to the COD games made by IW. I also have a laptop with an Intel HD 400.
