gyokzoli: Forgive me for I have never played System Shock 2.

Is the game more like an RPG or an FPS?

PS: please, please, don't downvote me, have some mercy! :P

JudasIscariot: It's more of an RPG with FPS elements as you're not drowning in weaponry and ammo throughout the whole game. Yes, you can carry more than one weapon at a time BUT you'll have to play some inventory tetris to carry them.

Also, you can hack the little gaming device that you find in the game.

Make sure to keep the basketball for later...
Thanks! Seems like I have to buy it. :)

strixo: Ah, just remembered a "build" someone else posted years back, worth trying. The alcoholic, chain smoker build. Recommended with shotgun.

You must drink/smoke all vodka/cigrattes found, immediately.
Clearly Bioshock was inspired by this :X

lowyhong: I thought there's one in Recreation for that purpose? :p
I didn't see it :P

Also, I did manage to score a basket...interesting...
Getting a bit ahead of yourself, no? :D
playing OSA is like::

Psi-healing is a pure must

pyrokinesis/cryokinesis is a must

Psi-wall isn't

and when you see the Droids RUN LIKE HELL

That's the tri-optimum waglglglglay

before they blow up they say "this is just what you are looking for" KA-BOOM

Hacking is one skill You MUST have early in the game to get the brawnboost early in the game the first hack door code is 00000 try it!

Elmofongo: No its not and its not scary (to me at least)
avatar
Nirth: I can't argue against or for if it's scary because of lack of play but I think it's based around creepy atmosphere, not cheap jumps like Resident Evil who you seem to adore so much.

avatar
lowyhong: It is difficult, but you have to play it on Impossible for it to be so, and I recommend everyone play it that way. No excuses.
avatar
Nirth: Even if someone hates difficult games? :P

Personally, I'm going to be play on normal/default but without character build recommendations as they're usually only interesting once you've played the game yourself.
Oh it has atmosphere, but not the creepy kind, more like the Metroid kind. Resident Evil 1 remake has scarier atmosphere then this and even then we are comparing apples and oranges.

I'm sorry but this game (While I still think its a great game please don't get me wrong on this) did not frighten me that much, especially when I can just level up my stats with the Cybernetic modules becoming a powerhouse later in the game.
I chose a Mele class for my first play-through

Maxed out strength, PSI and standard weapon for Wrench - With bonuses strength is 8 = 15 bonus damage

Added weapon Smash and Lethal Weapon damage bonus

Adrenaline Overproduction - multiplies melee damage by PSI (x7)

Crystal Shard with Exotic weapons maxed out

This build does an insane amount of damage and can pretty much kill anything with 1 hit..coupled with speed enemies should never lay a hand on you and they don't.. mele weapons are very ammo friendly and require zero maintenance..I have massive stockpiles of ammo and cash sitting around..use this build with powered armor and aura for 110% defence bonus, just in-case of some errant missile or something, and you are invinsible.

Standard weapon increases melee damage too?
