bansama: I expect it would just annoy him more.

Oh well. Can't please everyone I suppose.
I see one of the retail computer shops near me has it for... 99 cents!
But if I decide I want it, I'll likely buy it from here.
I guess timing IS everything. I bought mine two weeks ago during the RPG promo, and I don't regret it at all.
For those of you who are curious, it is definately worth this low, low, price.
Thanks GOG for making this such a great and competitive site.
You guys rule so bad. Thanks. :)
Damn, already spent too much money in the past two weeks. But in two weeks I'll be back ;)
Lol bought this a few weeks back still worth the $9.99. Great rpg and a steal now its $5.99

Awesome! Oh, and about Steam... the only thing I'm considering buying from them is Dawn of War with addons, but I really don't want to do that, because of the euro/dollar and the Steam program you have to install to play their games. I think I'll just wait some more and hope that it comes to GOG when it's old enough.
Oh guys. With all these price drops and promos, I can only hope it's because you've made a success and perform swimming in the money as a daily exercise, not because you didn't made it financially well and have to attract more people. God, what I am saying. I don't even want to think about it.

i doubt it, highly. Otherwise you'd see them chopping the prices for UT2k4. Which has a CDkey tied to it, what is a closed game company going to do with a bajillion cdkeys?
then again, I heard that they only had one cdkey for every copy.
Would there be any chance that those of us who bought the game when it was $9.99, choosing to buy it over the $5.99 version because we love GOG's service, getting some sort of refund for the $4.00 extra? Not that it bothers me much, but I'm just curious.

No! :oP
I highly doubt it, as anytime they would lower a price people would be expecting the difference back. That would be a major headache and likely a logistical nightmare.
I have bought games that after about 5 minutes of play realized I wasted my money but there is no way to get your money back (unless you live in the UK as I understand it).

shylock: Sorry, already picked this up just last night for $4.99 on Steam.

Weclock: steam is missing a a very important patch on it though.
edit:
also with the steam version, you DO NOT GET the following:
manual (37 pages), artworks, in-game sounds, hi-res wallpapers (2), screensaver, avatars
While these items are given to you for free with the GOG.com version.

All of that is very nice but at the time of purchase last night I didn't know it was on GOG. Had I known it was not only on GOG but came with all that stuff than I would of bought it here.
:(
I only just bought it a few days ago.
HOWEVER, I'm gonna call this one my own fault. I shoulda bought it during the RPG sale. Either way, it's damn fun.
What I REALLY want to know is: is this an isolated drop, or will $10 games in general be lowered in price on a case by case basis once sales drop enough to warrant it?

i think it was dropped because the steam price is so much cheaper.
