I keep a general track on WWE despite not watching it as much as I used to. TNA on the other hand I keep trying to watch and keep getting lost and a bit confused. I should keep trying as TNA, unlike WWE, is on freeview and therefore actually easier to watch XD (British guy yay)

I love the camp of it but it seems every time I turn on TNA it's gone a little too far. The kidnaping thing was beyond stupid IMHO. Sure, WWE has done some equally silly things (Goldust being electrocuted, the HHH wedding) but those were few and far between. When I turn on and see Hogan like he's being interviewed on 60 Minutes I just seem to lose interest in the rest of the show.

Loved the attitude era, pretty much preferred WCW over WWF until they closed. Started watching WWF with my 2 biggest favs switching over - Jericho and Benoit and quickly gotten into Stone Cold, Rock, Undertaker...

Lost interest after the switch to PG at some point and with ECW / Indies practically not available on the old continent / watching videos over the net not feasible / wide-spread at that time, turned my back on it.

Picked up over the last few years again somewhat and since about a year watching regularly again. WWE... meh. Loved a few things like Punk pre-respect / -Heyman storyline, AJ, I'm the tag team champions and most shockingly: even a few (VERY few) Cena moments. But way too much I can't be bothered with that I'm skipping or fast-forward watching.
However I love TNA, especially the Roode / Aries title reigns, Hardy / Aries ladder match to name a few, with little that didn't fit (AJ Styles storylines) at all.

Everything else like RoH, Indies, Japan - I acknowledge that there's the innovation coming from and would probably be worth to watch, but not enough time on my days, sry.

That's my situation too. I keep an eye on the news, watch segments tht sound good via youtube, buy a bluray or two, and always lament that I can't gice Japan/TNA a closer look. Hell, I havn't tuened on my.xbox in two weeks!

I have heard great tings about NJPW's IPPV's, and am going to check one out. I rarely consume anything tjese dats, with work, gym, and hiking taking up most of my.non-family time.

If that doesn't make you want to watch the whole thing, you're not a wrestling fan.
And if it doesn't sold you to TNA, nothing will. :)

I've been watching a bit of the latest NJPW IPPV, "Wrestle Kingdom". It's both a great entry point into Japanese wrestling, and a great alternative for those soured by the modern WWE product.

Seems decent.

The problem with ladder, table and such matches is that they tend to become spotfests and most of the relatively safe spots have already been done to death.

The last time I really enjoyed one of these was when Edge and Ric Flair did a TLC match on RAW.

Yeah... I didn't bother watching the 2012 olympics anyways.

Used to love this. First watched it in the eighties with my dad. Probably WWF.
In the nineties the channel stopped showing US pro wrestling and switched to Japan. That was an awesome move from the channel as the Japanese matches were a lot better. Less to no stories and more (technical) fighting.
Some great athletes there. Some are still my favorite like.

The crap that's currently going on in WWE is boring as hell. Not to mention seeing the same few guys over and over.

My favorites:
The Undertaker
Jyushin Thunder Liger (to get an impression, check his match against Black Tiger II aka Eddie Guerrero)
Hell Raisers (tag team: Kensuke Sasaki aka Power Warrior and the late Road Warrior Hawk)
Chris Benoit (especially during his time in Japan)

You don't hear THAT much these days. Your maturity is refreshing.

What he did is very sad, but it doesn't change the fact he was a great wrestler.

Old school wrestling fans need to watch OSWReview's podcasts. They are covering the Hulkamania era and they are flipping hilarious.

Notes on recent WWE developments:

1) Swagger/Colter(Mantell) are an incredible pairing, and the Del Rio/Swagger feud is gonna be great!
2) The new WWE title is a step in the right direction, but it still reeks of Cena. Bring back the old Winged Eagle!
3) Bruno!

Looking forward to where they take the (excuse me for this, please) 'Murica! vs parasitic immigrant, as Swagger/Colter see it, angle.

The new title... it's better than the Spinner belt, but not a great one. The fact that it's basically a giant logo with the word CHAMPION emblazoned across the bottom, without any place for the Champion's name or anything, just looks like the lazy way to go about making a new championship. I get that it's the WWE Championship, but it just looks so plain and bland with the WWE logo being the only thing on it. Ah well, maybe I'll get use to it, like with the Spinner belt, over enough time.

Lastly, Bruno? If you're talking about Fandango, I'm still waiting on him to make a debut, maybe even be a manager for Brodus & Tensai or something! Argh, they've been taunting the viewers with him for months now!
