Sad to see a game cancelled but I'm also sort of relieved to not face some of those nasty bastards like the big muscly looking one!

i had never even heard of this game until just now, sux that it got cancelled. the ps3 needs more rpgs.

Some of those art pieces look very similar to the Alian movie, a Rancor from Star Wars, and that guy from Dead Space....

I had wondered how they were going to go about making an Alien RPG. Even to the point where I came up with some interesting ideas in the process.
But we're getting New Vegas instead, so it's not like we've got anything to gripe about.

The new movies going to take place on Hadley's Hope... the RPG was going to give a feeling of such an experience. This RPG had all the makings of success and a lot of people were looking forward to it...
Thank god for Rebellion and there Reboot... It's not an RPG but its finally something in the genre that fans have been waiting for since 1994... AVP2 was great but.. Rebellion had that something... they forgo gameplay in-place of a feeling, the atmosphere itself was electric and enough to garner invested play time... a lost art in game development. the 2001 followup was good AVP2 but it was used like an old dairy cow. Milk it till its dead... Great game, would recommend it to anyone... but it lost that feeling.... that essence that made Rebellions title so great.
P.S. Did you notice the Rhino Alien and Panther Alien? Shots 20 and 21 respectively... BAD ASS!

The alien hive pic/environment looks pretty cool.
If this game came out, it would probably do a lot to push me toward getting a PS3.

Well, it seems we will never know if it would have been any good or not. Atmosphere looks nice though.

It was to be a PC game also.

Well, after a long time being out of print, they started releasing e-book versions online (With Mr. Joe Dever's permission), and finally Mongoose Publishing are now re-releasing the original (albeit vastly rewritten/improved by Mr.Dever) gamebooks ^_^
Then to find out a company was making a game based on this excellent series...."eagerly anticipating" barely covers it.
Now to have almost all hopes dashed to the jagged rocks...They've released the engine as opensource...so *maybe* something can be salvaged.....

Conflicted here, no more Alien RPG game, but no mention in that article of a PC release. So I can't get my self interested enough to be sad of the cancellation.

Lone Wolf looked really fun.. had a Dark Messiah feeling to it.... that's a good thing in my book... sad loss for the gaming community...
