Please read carefully. A few basic rules, not strict:
-Always remember to use your character name when taking action
-Try to stay in character when acting, when possible
-I will pose choices to the party. Feel free to make the decision, no reason to hesitate.
-Many decisions for the party can be made by one character. If it's a major decision, I'll ask for a certain number of characters to vote on the action before continuing.
-To make the time requirements easier on everyone, the initiative rules will vary from encounter to encounter. In a 6 on 6 fight, for example, each "side" might have only 3 turns between all 6 characters per round. The initiative situation for each combat will be spelled out clearly before it begins.
-You can ask OOC questions or ask for clarification at any time.

I know you weren't here for this before, but everyone involved just finished fighting a battle in Northbrook, and you're considered one of them. I will post the map and explain shortly.

The party is to set out from the rubble of Northbrook. You are searching for your friend, Kemuel, who disappeared in the middle of the battle with an army under the banner of Hammerhall. He may have left voluntarily, or may have been abducted.
Kemeul once served in the Knights of the Ton, Hammerhall's elite military force. When the King of Hammerhall was overthrown, an oligarchy was introduced to rule the city-state. The oligarchs outlawed the order, viewing it as a tool of the now deposed royalty.
All indications are that you should make way towards Hammerhall.
Before the party sets out, it encounters Zaranak Wretch, a Quenhali warrior. He is the last survivor of the small Qunehali detachment that aided you in defense of Northbrook.
You have just encountered a stranger named Lucas Avarade in the field hospital near the battlefield.
(OOC: all characters are still near the battlefield in Northbrook and may speak with each other or look around. Shortly, I'll post a question asking in which direction you would like to set off.
Here again is the world map, for reference. It is too big to be posted here, so here's a LINK to it.
For those having trouble finding locations, as it is quite large: Northbrook is located all the way north, central. Hammerhall is a bit tougher to spot, it's south, central... just south of the rivers in the Unquenched Marshes)

Lucas Avarade:
"Hail thee my fellow bretheren!" I said to them as I pushed myself up from the ground. "Where you are you going I might ask? I'm looking for some way to help. Don't worry most of wounds have healed if you need to know whether I'll be a hassle or not."

OOC: Everyone, please welcome Lucas and Zaranak as they are both newcomers.

When you're ready, I need a majority vote (3 will suffice) as to which way to proceed towards Hammerhall.
Route 1: the fastest route would be to head due south past Skip, through the Shamanic Groves and sneak through a pass in the Blood Peaks towards the Quenhali settlement at Endurse M'Koof. From there, Hammerhall is a quick journey.
While this is the fastest route, it is likely the most dangerous as you may encounter wild beasts in the northern sections of the Shamanic Groves, and the Blood Peaks are teeming with monsters.
Then again, if you can get through the pass unnoticed, it will save you a lot of time. Stealth or Exploration skills could help here. Plus, you may find valuable loot here, so that's a plus.
Route 2: The safest route is to pass east around the River of Eternity, attempting to gain passage on the River from the Quenhali at Biya R'Zala. A Quenhali transport would likely be well protected, so would promise safe journey down to the southern tip of the Sile Stream near the ruins of Den Sile. From there, it should be a very quick journey to Hammerhall.
The downside to taking this, the safest route, is that the party has little in the way of gold, and acquiring passage on the Quenhali transport may be difficult. Having a Quenhali soldier among your number (Zaranak) certainly helps, and so would the anthropology skills that some of you possess. But those things alone are unlikely to secure your passage for free, you may have to volunteer your services to the ferry captain... and who knows what they would demand in return.
So, it will be difficult, but this is probably the surest bet to get you there alive.
__________________________________________________________________
If anyone has the Exploration skill field, they can request a die roll to improve the safety of route 1 or ease the difficulties of route 2.
Be sure to refer to the map: LINK to it.
When you've thought it over, place your vote. OOC: just a quote to let you know the campaign is ready to begin, no hurry, just a courtesy.

"With our limited supplies and injuries. I vote we take the second route. The safer one." Exile muttered, his head tilting to one side as he watched the others

"I agree with the Vasar. I just hope we don't have to pay a lot for our passage," I reply before realizing. "What is you name, vasar?"

The Vasar turned his eyes towards the one who spoke, "Exile, Former Captain of The Wanderers." The Male stated, "And friend to Jack, and a few others with us here."

OOC: 1 for the fastest route so far, 2 for the safest route.
