+1 for this
For those whose play Immortal Defense, any tips on how can I beat level 90? It's been gnawing at me for a while since I couldn't beat it. :(

And I'm playing it on easiest mode. X.X
Defense Grid is hands down the best conventional TD game I've seen. It's straightforward but balanced to perfection, with well-varied levels and some nasty surprises tucked into certain waves. Fantastic art, too.

Sol Survivor had its strengths but felt too loose. It was hard to pick out individual opponents and tailor defenses to them properly.

Plants vs. Zombies gets the silly grin award.

Immortal Defense is a work of art. The abstract levels are completely immersive as a representation of hyperspace. As particles start building up on the screen, you might drift into a zen state as you predict and target the ships hidden beneath them. The storyline is stunning and heartbreaking. It would probably be a good fit for this site someday.

Gemcraft is probably the most complex and challenging TD available, especially if you take advantage of all the difficulty options. Tons of variety available in the latest version. Free to play, with premium content available.

Cursed Treasure isn't too difficult, but it still makes you think. I like it as a casual TD game. It's also free to play.

Protector series is nice too. Very slow though. Have to plan everything far in advance.

Curator Defense is floating around somewhere. It's amusing to watch waves of modern art advance upon you.

i haven't played the game in years even though i made it, so i don't remember specific levels at all anymore. but you could try going back to earlier stages to earn more cache, which will help you place more and higher upgraded points in that level

failing that, there's a cheat key to skip a level (check the game's faq for the key combination, i forget it offhand, i coded it years ago)

Thanks very much for your help. Much appreciated!
So yeah, I just finish Immortal Defense but gorram, the ending of the game got under my skin big time. I'm having major cases of goosebumps.

You mean level 100, right?
Also: that's Ctrl-Numpad0 to win a level (actually, to set the timer to 0:03, so it won't work at level 100. Not that you would want to skip it, of course.)

No, I actually meant level 90, lol.

But Immortal Defense is so insanely good. I had no idea that it can make me all creepy under my skin at all.
i think some of the latter levels in the latter two campaigns are a bit imbalanced, i was rushing through those. level 90 was probably one of the 'boss rush' levels that just had a boss of an earlier campaign repeated as a normal enemy. all the levels are beatable though, even on difficulty level 100 (two people so far have beaten the entire game on difficulty 100)

anyway thanks for the complements and such and glad you guys like the game

Yeah, last few levels were pretty tough for me since the enemies were overwhelming me like crazy. However, that doesn't detract my enjoyment from the game.

Man, Immortal Defense is so insanely good and I certified it as my favorite game just because the storytelling is so well done. Utter brilliant!

I'm going to gift this game to some of my friends. :D

Internal level 95, then. 4 more levels to go. There's just no way the path defender's adventures are over!

I'm useful, aren't I?
don't say that -- now they're gonna think i paid you to promote it here haha

gifting is an interesting idea, i wonder if fastspring would let me set up a 'gifting' sale, where if you buy the game at normal price you also get an extra copy or two to give to friends. not sure if their infrastructure supports it tho
I started a thread on Trenched by Double Fine here http://www.gog.com/en/forum/general/trenched_double_fine

It's a Live Arcade exclusive right now, but it's a fun mix of tower defense and shooting.
