tinyE: "Kitten poker"?
Sorry, I forget sometimes that other people have lives and don't watch Buffy reruns ^_^ Please pretend I said instead something clever, witty, and not as open to double entendres. If such a thing exists.
There's religious intolerance on these forums...? If so, I've never once spotted it.

Tychoxi: In the same way you are supposed to hate the sin, not the sinner, I shall always ridicule the belief, not the believer.
I always find that this sounds easy in theory but is incredibly hard to do in practice.

I'm fine with you being a christian, but I do have a problem with some/most of your beliefs. You bring those beliefs up and I have the right to respond to them.
I love God, or at least the idea of God.

However, don't ask me what God is, or what God wants. I have no idea. I don't trust anyone who claims to know what God is or what God wants.

I don't have a problem with God. It is God's fanatic followers that I can't stand!

What is religion? To me, religion is a fairy tale or belief structure that a group of human beings made up in order t explain God in such a way that is beneficial to their group.

Often times these 'made up' beliefs are wrong, and wrong beliefs lead to wrong thinking.

Wrong thinking leads to wrong action.

WRONG ACTION LEADS TO A MESSED UP WORLD! That is where we are now.

I can tolerate religion, but only when people do not take religion too seriously.

Only that most religions have many gods or no gods at all.
Monotheists are quite megalomaniac with all this "religion = one god".

This is close to the way I believe. I've been a part of Christian churches and the problem I have is when they set church guidelines on how you should live, even ones you don't agree with.

I do believe in God and is a part of my life. I don't not know what God looks like, and frankly I don't care. I like more in spirituality and not religion. To me God is personal, in other wards I have my God and it's not my place for others to believe the same way. I believe there is a higher power for everyone, but it is up to that individual to find that power. It is a person's own responsibility to knock, not one else's. Religious beliefs should never be forced on anyone. For if a person isn't sincere in his/her own beliefs, who can it do any good?

My God isn't a fire and brimstone God either. He's there when I seek him, and when I am not focused on being self-centered.
