Can always appreciate the Trans-Siberian Orcestra around Christmas time...
Always liked the way it makes Christmas classically rock out.

As many others have said before me BillyMaysFan59, your contributions to the forum and the community in the span of a little over an year has been invaluable. Although we joined around the same time, you have been a far more prolific member of the GOG community and not just in terms of giveaways. I have immensely enjoyed our infrequent interactions and I also appreciate the many useful threads that you have added here as well.

In short it has been absolute pleasure to have you here and even if you won't be able to post as frequently in the future, I will always be looking forward to your wonderful presence. Best wishes for the personal matters that would be requiring more of your attention and I hope everything goes well for you in all future endeavors. Also many thanks along with the usual +rep for another awesome giveaway and also to Gragar for adding another prize. Not in for this one as I have benefited from many of your great giveaways before. :)
Another one

I wish you the best in your personal endeavors and hope to continue to see you around on the forums, even if less frequently. I've become much less active around these parts myself. Your posts always bring about a smile, so don't disappear altogether, eh? ;)

If it's not too late, and if you'd like to be able to choose another winner, I'd like to follow in Grargar's footsteps and add a $5.99 gift to the prize pool.

As for favorite Christmas songs, I'm not even sure if this song itself is meant to be a Christmas song, but hearing Burl Ives' voice when watching Rudolf and other specials during the holidays season was always one of my favorite parts of the season. This one in particular always makes me smile, and reminds me of being a little kid: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rY-XDQN6ipE
I'm in, thanks.

Luckly your farewell is not pemanent, but its bad when people have to leave this happy place!
See you around BMF! Merry Christmas! : )

About the topic, here is an old MC Christmas parody with a cool music by the Yogscast\Area11
Wow, I thought I had posted here days ago, but unless I missed something I have not. Oops!

BillyMaysF, you'll be missed here. You know that. You'll be welcome whenever you chance back to these parts.

Christmas songs are not really my thing, but I've always loved the Bing Crosby/David Bowie Little Drummer Boy. I wasn't aware of it when it came out in 1977, but it was a hiddenish thing until the early 80s, when it exploded all over. By then, David Bowie and Elvis Costello were my favorite artists.

Bowie was such a counterculture icon, flitting as he did in and out of the mainstream, that it was bizarre to think of him performing with a golden-years performer like Crosby. I wasn't yet at the point in my own growth when I would realize that music from all eras is just a matter of style and smoke and mirrors, and that a reliable talent from the current age will always find common ground with a great one from the past. Back then, to me, the pairing was mind-blowing. Almost as bizarre as if, say, Lady Gaga were to perform with Tony Bennett.

Obviously, that will never happen. 8)

As a plus, their version is a beauty. It's more of a showcase for Bowie than for Crosby, but that's all right - someone has to play lead.
