Let them make a casual game to promote the show and drive eyeballs to their online content. They aren't hurting anybody. And let Forbes write about it. Do you know why Forbes writes about social networking games with TV show tie-ins? Because the trailer for Bulletstorm made their blue blood Ivy League writers shit their collective pants with fear.
What would actually be cool is if someone were to develop an MMO based on Dr. Who. From what I can tell, nothing like that is actually happening.
Just because it is multiplayer do not mean it is an MMO. What really is the problem with BBC promoting one of their series though a Facebook game? Are you also going to have this rant against, for example Spartacus and other shows/films doing a "mulitplayer" game?
