Stilton: Right, a thousand thanks, people for your comments, points of view and opinions!

Kronos and Dragon Commander are now snuggling contentedly in the nest with all of my other games!

Fireworks, fanfare, visiting dignitaries, the works!

Don't you love it when there are some new arrivals, all cute and dribbly and wanting love and attention?

Xenonauts, The Last Federation and Eador - Masters of the Broken World will be thought on a while longer before they either join the rest or stay with their current families.

Can I also add that the people here are pretty darn great?
Yes, there are quite a few cool people here. =) Going to make sure to add you to such a mention just to make you blush, since you don't want blindside gifts.

CarrionCrow: Also hoping for a Prince of Persia bundle at some point. They've been on my wishlist too long.
avatar
genkicolleen: Ohh, yes! That would be awesome, and then you could tell me how good they are! lol~

phaolo: Gray Matter - Tesla Effect - Cognition
avatar
genkicolleen: Cognition is fantastic! Gray Matter is very slow-paced; I've had trouble getting in to it. Tesla I've played because I've never played a Tex Murphy game, and don't even own the others yet! ^_^;
I keep hearing how great Sands of Time is, but I want all four for the "collection". Will be sure to let you know my thoughts whenever I get them and actually go through them all. -laughs-

phaolo: Gray Matter - Tesla Effect - Cognition
3 flawed adventure games that tempt me with their discounted price..
Anyway, what's the best one?
I would pick Gray Matter even though I haven't played it yet. Tesla Effect was fun but mostly for nostalgia and would only recommend it if you liked the previous games. Cognition has great art style but the story couldn't keep me playing, felt something was missing.

Stilton: Okay, I want serious, sensible feedback here - none of your jokes, quips and amusing comments or I might organize a raiding party.... (I wouldn't really ;-))

Three games to be thumbed up or down, cos I'm confused...

That Kronos thingy (where the bloke on the cover looks like he's got a wasp up his left nostril)
Dragon Commander
Xenonauts
The Last Federation
Eador - Masters of the Broken World

Okay, that's five games, but the process is the same:

Shall I or shan't I?

Thank you everyone for your understanding and support ;-)
Xenonauts is great if you liked X-COM: Ufo Defense and Terror from the Deep (but I think I already told you that yesterday). Battle World: Kronos is a good game if you liked the original Battle Isle series (and for the flash deal price you should definitely get it).

Edit: Seems I was a little late. ;)

Raiden cleared for landing, and my wishlist shrinks by one more.

GOG, please release more games. Like, about a hundred or so. This month. :)

If only someone would put out a brand-new version of Raiden Fighters. Granted, Raiden Legacy is pretty sweet, but I'd still love to see a new one with bigger areas and more planes.

+1 Thanks to both, even if one suggests Cognition and the other Gray Matter XD

So I went ahead and looked at a few videos of MIND and...yeah. While graphically it looks exceptional and the story drags you in immediately, what I saw of it before I clicked out seemed to be that it follows the same path as Antichamber which horrendously tripped up my anxiety due to everything changing and me not knowing what I should be expecting or even what I should be attempting to do.

Does not look like a game for me.

Yeah, definitely not if it's going to cause you problems just trying to play the frigging thing.

All the information went in, including yours - it just took a little while to morph into something I could act upon, so thanks again ;-)

IAmSinistar: Insomnia never sleeps.

If only this sale provoked such actions in me. Ah well.
beware or you'll get keaned by sinistar

penumbren: And.... yeah. I had missed that image.... thanks for sharing. ;P
avatar
IAmSinistar: No sharing! That's a $25 image download. Don't make me regret supporting DRM-free for my business model. ;)
No worries - I'm pretty sure my mental image doesn't compare to the original. ;D
high rated
Oh look! Someone who is not on Secret Santa.
Someone who I can gift without fear of messing with someone else's gift package.

PM for you, dear katya_stevens!

Blush accepted with thanks ;-)

IAmSinistar: I've played none of those buy Kronos so far. I give it a tentative YEA, assuming such games are your cuppa. I still maintain that you should first pick up Battle Isle in the Flash Deals, to get a feel for the type of game it is.
Is Kronos a sequel to Battle Isle? It sort of sounds like it's related but it's not shown as part of the series.

avatar
IAmSinistar: I own the other titles, but cannot give a vote either way on them as to their quality yet. But if The Last Federation lives up to its Homeworld-like promise, it would be another sure bet.
The Last Federation is another one I've had my eye on. I'm pretty hit and miss on that type of game, but the other half is fond of them. If anyone has any thoughts on it, I'd be interested to hear them.
I wanna talk about Terraria. Mainly - What the hell is it?
I've read descriptions and watched videos of this for years, and still can't figure out what it is.
Action/Adevnture/Managerial? What is that supposed to mean?
Everyone seems to love it. Is it any fun to play alone, or is it only really fun with other people?
