vonFreiwaldau: Where is that damned Defender's Quest? Only game to be twice on sale so far and it's taking its time to stay that way. Most games have been on sale 4–6 times. If it goes on in next 10 hours while I'm offline, I'll go and... and... and I'll buy first DRM game I'll come upon to boycott GOG! That will teach them! Eat that, GOG!
Hey there! Your Defender's Quest is up! Hope you're around to pick it up!

Stilton: Would someone please kindly explain to me the alleged benefits of using Steam over GOG or any other sane method of playing PC games (like buying a non-Steam contaminated CD, for example) as I honestly cannot see the point in installing their dreadful client and not actually owning my games. I like a CD or an unrestricted digital download. I must be old-fashioned...
avatar
skeletonbow: Sure, but firstly I should say that it is important to realize that what some people consider to be a "benefit" of Steam, other people consider to be Satan's hellspawn. Having said that, I will define "benefit of Steam" very clearly to mean something that some number of people who use Steam find to be beneficial and prefer having the feature/function available. ...snip
Anyhow, hope this helps!
Very good explanation. Even though it wasn't for me, I appreciate the information.

Hey, thank you for your concern! Yes, I managed to buy the game this time when it came up, so no reason anymore to punish GOG with such a devious plan :D It's safely downloaded and stored on my flash drive to be played on my gaming computer later. Again, thanks for concern, have a nice day!

I wonder if these will appear or were just place holders for titles that GOG tried to negotiate terms for the sale but failed to agree with the publishers in time

srilumpa: Yeah, I got them in a promo a few month back.

Then just after the Spring Insomnia I found Original war, bought it, then a week later I heard it was being removed when they did the Farewell to Arma promo.

Stilton: I remember wanting to get Original War before it disappeared but forgot. Hopefully it will turn up again.
Hello Stilton, Having enjoyed your banter through two different sale here at GOG, I have(or will in this case) send you a little gift. Check your PMs. Have a nice day and Thank you for flying GOG.com! ;-)

I picked it up the last day of the sale. I KNEW that someone would be wanting a copy of it because they forgot to grab it. I am glad it was you since I have not given you anything yet. All I can say is enjoy!

HypersomniacLive: I expect GOG to still have a couple of asses up their sleeve for this sale.;-)
They might need something other than asses to impress. ;)

I sincerely appreciate it. I hope I can return the compliment (if there is a single game somewhere that you DON'T own yet!)
