budejovice: This is the reason I will NEVER let my totals for this sale wind up here in the forum. ;)

LynetteC: I think you've hinted though. :-)

Just under half of my total spend has actually been on gift codes. I can't help it - I'm addicted to donating! lol
I think budejovice has probably bought several games more than he wanted to like the rest of us have! lol As for buying gift codes, yes I have bought a few. I had to do something like that so I wouldn't feel so greedy! ;-p

txnca: That is what I do no matter what. Diablo 3 maybe online, but I play by myself so I can do what I want when I want, not when someone else who is in a rush wants me to. If it had been like WOW, I don't think I would have played it very long.
I avoided WoW on purpose for multiple reasons but had I chosen to let Blizzard stick their vacuum cleaner hose in my wallet for that game, I probably would have been the most hated clan-less player in the entire MMO because of taking my time to enjoy things and not being the type of person to dedicate my life to some "club schedule" with all kinds of rules and whatnot. :)

The GOG Greybeard Slowpokes(TM) :)
We grew up with Space Quest and Kings Quest. Can you imagine rushing through them? Not hardly! Heck they are hard enough without that headache!

txnca: I would call the kind of gaming we do as Old School Gaming! Everyone I grew up playing games with all play this way because at the time $20-$30 bucks for a game was a lot of money! Now days, it's like they are in too big of a hurry to really enjoy the games they buy. I'm glad my daughter plays like I do. She learned what all you miss when you rush through while playing Sacred Gold. She started playing it after watching me play then would get mad that she couldn't find any of the good loot like I was finding. Learned her lesson from that!
I think you're right about the 'Old School Gaming'. Not only because of the price of games then, but also because back in the day, content was everything. There was no full orchestral soundtrack and fancy, realistic 3d graphics so there had to be gameplay. My favourite example of this is Ultima 4 - The Quest Of The Avatar. The graphics are only 16 colours, the music was basic midi but the content; oh my, that game would keep you trekking across Britannia from one town and shrine to another and back again for DAYS on end. One of my all-time favourites.

And from one of my favourites to another - Sacred Gold. What a game! I may snag a gift code next time it comes around just so that I can introduce someone to it's fabulousness! lol

What character do you play? Every time I re-play, I intend to try a different character but always end up a vampire. :-)

Yep! There ya go! I play all of them, but my fav is the Vampire! I really like have wolfs and bats around me and really like when I change into the vampire form. Awesome little game! Although little isn't really the right word for it! I also have the second one with the "DLC" although it isn't downloaded it is the full expansion of the game. I also sometimes use the fan created patch which put a lot of stuff back into the game which they didn't finish or just didn't fix.

OK, you do have a valid point there. The GOG Slowpokes? The GOG Old School Gamers Club! There ya go!

Yes, definitely hinted. I let it drop when my shelf hit 300 on the first day, but my totals won't be updated here for a while. :)

I've bought a few gifts this time as well. I'm certainly not in the same realm of gifting as you, but I am enjoying it!

Let drop you hit 300 on the first day?! I missed that it seems. So, If you have been buying a few a day and today bought a couple of bundles or so, then somewhere in the neighborhood of 350 would be my guess. ;-D

Jesus and a Vampire?

Talk about two opposite ends of the spectrum!

(I REALLY hated U-4, guess I just wasn't up to the moral challenge... Hell i couldn't even bring myself to say I wasn't proud when asked!)
