DieselX: I dont remember that message being there for previous days so this must be something different right?

Well then that is something interesting. I guess that puts me in the excitedly waiting.

foxworks: I finally pulled the trigger and now have the full Keane collection experience :)
The more I see the game on the homepage and the more everyone mentions it the more I am contemplating instaling it (Got the Shinyloot version of the first one) and giving it a spin. :)

Really, no GOGlodyte, who's experienced the Keaning, should be without ;-)

Ditto - having the Keane collection is a badge of pride. :-)

That's a good man! Every Insomniac should have these on their shelf. :D

Cyberevil: Anyone seen LynetteC lurking in here?

Picked up a Bloodrayne for her if she missed it
avatar
LynetteC: I knew I should have logged in last night before going to bed, but I'd been helping my sister move stuff into her new flat and I was exhausted. (I wasn't lurking, honestly, although I have been tonight, trying to catch up with everything I missed last night!)

Today at work, my boss was sitting right behind me so I couldn't check my tablet as often as I usually do but on the ONLY chance I got to take a sneaky peek, there was Bloodrayne right there waiting for me! So now I feel bad that Cyberevil went to such trouble for me and I went and pre-empted his generosity. :-(

On a side note - whilst my work computer blocks access to GOG I can monitor my Yahoo email account (in the smallest window possible lol), so I can read PM's from the email notifications. If anyone needs to get hold of me when I'm not around the forums, that would be the best way to catch my attention - even if I can't reply immediately.
No worries, I'll either find it another home or maybe keep it myself, since I don't have it.
Funny, about the only time I managed to check in today was at lunch and Red Baron had JUST went on sale about 5 mins earlier.
In future promos, GOG's web code should check your account to see if you own one or both Jack Keane games, and if you do you gain a special ability called Keanesight on the GOG website which allows you to see sale prices before they come up ahead of everyone else and to have other GOG site superpowers of some sort. :)

That would be really cool. I now have both of the Keanes on my shelf. They actually don't sound too bad as games go. They actually sound a little like the Space Quest series, stupid and funny as they can be! ;-)

Indeed, I read up on them a bit and they're supposed to have a feel and also parody of Indiana Jones, Monkey Island, Lost, and a few other references of a similar inspiration. Sounds interesting.

I think the main Keane ability should be related to slowing down the timer on any fast-paced sale. For example, if you need to get some sleep.
Picked up 23 games from this sale so far I love you GOG..... it was either getting 1 game on steam or getting 23 games for the price of 1, and I have to say my collection is pretty much done! I got all i needed now I will just wait until new games come out now :)

Thanks again GOG my wallet hates you haha
Here's something odd: I have two computers networked together. Both are on the same broadband internet connection. On the flash sale countdowns, one computer is showing 2 minutes and 2 seconds faster than the other. (i.e. when the one on the right shows 29:02 remaining for a game, the one on the left shows 27:00 remaining). Same thing with the 'Something special' countdown. Any idea why this is happening? The clock times of each are slightly off. Would that be the issue? I wouldn't think the timer on the site would be synched with the PC clock, would it?
Well, I'm going to sleep, and hopefuly dream of LucasArt on GOG presented by princess Leia in her slave costume.

I believe your computer clock is the issue. If it were to be off quite a bit, it would most likely screw with the ability to take advantage of the flash sale or other timed sales.

Yeah, I looked a little closer at the clock setting, and the two differ by exactly 2 minutes and 2 seconds, so that's got to be the issue. I find it weird though that the timer is tied to the computer clock. No worries though, I found this out because I was looking at a game that expired and though "Crap, I missed it" and noticed on my other screen that the timer was still going. (We won't get into why I have the sale up on both rigs. Nothing to do with obsession. No sir, no problems here...)
