With 700+ games discounted up to 90% off, daily special Bundle Deals, a constant stream of exciting Flash Sales, and some fantastic surprise giveaways, we launch into the season of gaming joy!

The biggest celebration of DRM-Free gaming this season is right now, right here on GOG.com! It's warm and nice outside, the summer draws ever closer, so let's make sure it's full of fantastic games. There's no one good way to spend your summer, but we know well that gaming can make every single one of them better. So, whether you plan to stay inside, hike into the wilderness, or take a boat into the calm sea, we'll make sure your laptop is filled with great DRM-Free games you can enjoy anytime, anywhere. To that end, we're holding our [url=http://www.gog.com]2014 DRM-Free Summer Sale!

Each day we'll present you with at least two special Bundle Deals with a selection of of great classics and indies available up to 90% off! As usual, you'll be able to buy just selected titles out of the bundle with a slightly lower discount, or complete your collection with just the ones you're missing, retaining the higher discount rate. Let's take a look at our offers for today, shall we?

Today, we seriously mix things up to bring you both lighthearted comedy as well as dark and morbid horror. The Legacy of Kain Saga is the Full House of gaming with its family themes and colorful presentation. Across four episodes ironically titled Soul Reaver, Soul Reaver 2, Blood Omen 2, and Defiance the series explores the relation between Kain, a authoritative father with obvious god complex, and Raziel, his rebellious son with questionable fashion sense. The story also includes many of their relatives from extended family, that cannot help but to make a mess in their imaginary homeland called Nosgoth. Hilarity ensues! All this cheerful moments for only $5.96 (that's 75% off!). The other of our offers today, is bound to chill the blood in your veins with its terrifying setting alone. The Deponia Complete Trilogy takes place on a distant planet. A planet, that long ago must have been not so different from our own Earth. Yet now, it is a grim and dark place that suffered a tragic environmental disaster. The surface of the planet is now completely covered with waste. Toxic rain flushes the pollution deep into the ground, poisoning it and making the land barren. Way above, there's the remaining enclave of civilization, housing the remnant of the human race. Now imagine one of them, a defenseless girl, falls down to the toxic junkyard below. Even though she doesn't die instantly poisoned with every imaginable toxin, her future looks grim. The wasteland is filled with danger, and soon she'll find out that she is not alone among the towering piles of garbage. What strange mutated monsters could have survived in such conditions? And what do they eat? The horror! All the thrills for just $11.97 (that's 80% off!). There you have it, a mix of laughter and cries of despair to fill your weekend with gripping gaming. Or did we overdo the mixing?

On top of that, almost all of our catalog has been discounted by up to 50%. On top of that, our front page is overflowing with excellent Flash Sales on single games. You can grab them up to 90% as well, but don't take to long, as they come and go pretty fast! Why don't you head out to GOG.com front page, and see what's happening right NOW!

whatisserton: Hmm, 30 games later, I need to stop! Only things left on my wish list are games in windows format I hope to come to mac one day...

It is a shame the daily deals have nothing for mac users, but hey I can't complain since they've offered me so much already.

To be fair, it's maybe a relief, it stops my bank account crying.

KingdomHearts93: 30 games?! I can't imagine myself buying that many games at once. Hell, I've only bought six games so far with two more currently in consideration and I am already questioning if I'm starting to get a little out of control with the purchasing.
No... not by a long-shot. Out-of-control is when you have hundreds (for some even thousands) of games and have yet to start or finish the vast majority of them. Let me know when you get there. :-)

phaolo: Uh oh, I'm at 255 games.. is that a sign to stop now? XD
avatar
jackster79: Is that 255 on the wishlist, or 255 on the shelf? If that is 255 purchases, well... you and I need to get together to discuss how that came to be.
Certainly by clicking buy at every deep discount. :D

Certainly not until you own the whole GOG catalog XD

I never intended too... *Cries in the corner* I just got a little carried away with all the discounts... Why GOG WHY!!!

In all fairness I've been looking at a lot of games wondering and then with the discounts being so generous finally decided to just go for it. I did buy a few windows games I wouldn't have bought otherwise and will figure out how to run them later!

I do play a lot of games and can often finish them in a weekend or so when I set my mind to it.

yyahoo: Wow! I'm glad I got almost everything I wanted the first go around, because with this new format of only 2 games (instead of 10) switching out every 36 minutes, I would not have stuck around long enough to purchase as much as I did initially. Strangely, like others, the one game I still wanted to get was Banished, but it appears that maybe its promo banner was created prematurely, in that it's no longer in the sale anymore...
avatar
skeletonbow: Are you suggesting that... <wait for it> ... Banished got ... <wait for it> banished from the promotion? ;oP
+1

Minmataro: What do you do? collect digital box covers?
Believe me, that's nothing for a gamer. Some people bought 700+ titles here and on other stores too.
But I'm fine with my choices (mostly) and I've already played a lot of them.
The backlog is still huge, but I'm set for the near future lol.
When my wishlist will be emptied, I'll just have to check new GOG releases.

TakumiRayne: Is it just me or are there less Flash Sales? :(
avatar
DSA-Zocker: Nah, it's like that for me too :(
Ah that's good to know then thanks. Disappointed that its shrunk though. Hopefully it will be all back soon.
avatar
Minmataro: What do you do? collect digital box covers? I am the same exact way i buy and buy and buy. I bought 11 games this sale and the only game ive played out of them is Sir you are being Hunted...

I own 180 games on GoG, 900+ on Steam and around 150 on other platforms...

Dude... buying little pictures is addicting but sooner or later we will all need to stop and actually play the sh*t we bought. and once we do we wont buy another freaking thing for 5 years.
I am a collector myself and I agree. It can be a gigantic waste of money, but looking at those "pictures" gives me immense joy for the goodie files it hides within.

If there is any consolation to you I most likely bought more than 100 games in this promo.

I get 94 for myself and + the gifting it should break the 100 barrier.

It should be me who need to stop being so crazy

HAHA Well i would hope you are happy with your choices. I know i am. At certain points i do get frustrated though since i struggle to find the time to play everything.

Still think it would be a good idea to put together a Digital game buying addicts support group lol.

That's true lol, I almost started to understand the "shopping frenzy" feel XD

Luckly I managed to avoid 90% of the expensive shinies and the cheap crap for now.

Just a FYI other games not coming up on the flash sale are actually on discount.

Banished is 50% off and i know someone was asking for Jazz Punk and that's also on sale.

Yep, 700 games are 50% off during the Summer Sale, nearly the whole GOG catalogue.

Gnostic: I only played the latest AoW series that is shadow magic, and it is TBS not RTS. It is my favorite TBS, even more than HoMM series because it let me have simultaneous turn so I do not waste time waiting for a bunch of enemies to finish their turn. I can do battles and check stuff without waiting a bunch of wait status bar goes full.
avatar
gandalf.nho: I'm more acostumed with RTSs, this is why I asked about this eries being TBSs. And regarding your observation about HoMM, I hope AoW doesn't have missions with limited number of turns to complete like in HoMM
The quest with limited numbers of turn is completely optional, your god (spirit) will favor your more and reward you spells / items / unit / resource / reputation (diplomacy str) if you successful completed the quest, and penalize you if you fail too much quest. If you think certain quest is too hard you can reject it, thus suffer no penalty. Then again the penalty is minor and it take quite a number of disfavor for your god to enforce penalty to you.

You cannot lose by failing quest unless you mismanage your economy / army too much, or ramp up the difficulty by playing 1 vs 7. You can do 1 vs all (Via bad diplomacy) only late in the game when your stack of doom heroes have end game spells / items / perks

Is that too little? I have 635 as it currently stands on GOG and 909 on steam. Though in that number are probably some episodes of episodic games which by rights should be bundled and counted as just one game.

Some of the steam games are games I already own on GOG, via bundles or steam getting them first etc
