The biggest celebration of DRM-Free gaming this season is right now, right here on GOG.com! It's warm and nice outside, the summer draws ever closer, so let's make sure it's full of fantastic games. There's no one good way to spend your summer, but we know well that gaming can make every single one of them better. So, whether you plan to stay inside, hike into the wilderness, or take a boat into the calm sea, we'll make sure your laptop is filled with great DRM-Free games you can enjoy anytime, anywhere. To that end, we're holding our [url=http://www.gog.com]2014 DRM-Free Summer Sale!

Each day we'll present you with at least two special Bundle Deals with a selection of of great classics and indies available up to 90% off! As usual, you'll be able to buy just selected titles out of the bundle with a slightly lower discount, or complete your collection with just the ones you're missing, retaining the higher discount rate. Let's take a look at our offers for today, shall we?

Today, we seriously mix things up to bring you both lighthearted comedy as well as dark and morbid horror. The Legacy of Kain Saga is the Full House of gaming with its family themes and colorful presentation. Across four episodes ironically titled Soul Reaver, Soul Reaver 2, Blood Omen 2, and Defiance the series explores the relation between Kain, a authoritative father with obvious god complex, and Raziel, his rebellious son with questionable fashion sense. The story also includes many of their relatives from extended family, that cannot help but to make a mess in their imaginary homeland called Nosgoth. Hilarity ensues! All this cheerful moments for only $5.96 (that's 75% off!). The other of our offers today, is bound to chill the blood in your veins with its terrifying setting alone. The Deponia Complete Trilogy takes place on a distant planet. A planet, that long ago must have been not so different from our own Earth. Yet now, it is a grim and dark place that suffered a tragic environmental disaster. The surface of the planet is now completely covered with waste. Toxic rain flushes the pollution deep into the ground, poisoning it and making the land barren. Way above, there's the remaining enclave of civilization, housing the remnant of the human race. Now imagine one of them, a defenseless girl, falls down to the toxic junkyard below. Even though she doesn't die instantly poisoned with every imaginable toxin, her future looks grim. The wasteland is filled with danger, and soon she'll find out that she is not alone among the towering piles of garbage. What strange mutated monsters could have survived in such conditions? And what do they eat? The horror! All the thrills for just $11.97 (that's 80% off!). There you have it, a mix of laughter and cries of despair to fill your weekend with gripping gaming. Or did we overdo the mixing?

On top of that, almost all of our catalog has been discounted by up to 50%. On top of that, our front page is overflowing with excellent Flash Sales on single games. You can grab them up to 90% as well, but don't take to long, as they come and go pretty fast! Why don't you head out to GOG.com front page, and see what's happening right NOW!

Senteria: I bet Jack Keane will be the next free game.
that would be better then banished
Wasn't Banished developed by a single guy? And wasn't that its only commercial game?
Chances for it to be free = 0,0001%. I'll probably sleep well tonight.

alondate: AND i dont think banished or a recent title will be free. It will most likely be an old game or an average recent game

skeletonbow: It will either be Banished or Alan Wake's American Nightmare. We can speculate this with a rather high degree of confidence because all of the flash sale games have game graphic backgrounds specially made for the promo which were forensically discovered on the website somewhere around the day the Summer sale started and of the 238'ish (give or take) games predicted, all but 8 of them showed up in actual flash sale promos confirming the exact games in the promo. Of the 8 remaining game graphics that did not show up, it was speculated that these would either be the flash freebies GOG mentioned in their promotional advertising during the start of the sale and/or games that would be added discounted later on in the sale.

It turns out that both were true, and of all of the 8 graphics that were unaccounted for, every game that showed up today for the first time in the promo yet - were one of the missing 8. Of those, 3 of them have now been confirmed freebies (Still Life 2, Omerta, Torchlight), one has showed up as discounted DLC (Omerta Japanese DLC), and one has showed up as a discounted game (Outcast). That accounts for 5 of the 8 graphics.

The three remaining graphics are Banished, Alan Wake's American Nightmare, and I believe the DLC for Outcast. It is reasonably speculated that the DLC for outcast will probably just be discounted like the game itself was rather than being free but that's just speculation. Either way, there is supposed to be one more freebie today, and it will be one of these 3 so in my humble opinion unfortunately anyone with their hopes up that it will be some other random game in the catalogue has probably not following along all of the awesome website forensics that have happened all week to figure out the entire sale before it happens. :)

It's anyone's guess which of these 3 will be the freebie, and whichever it is it is still awesome, but the two games seem the most likely candidates to me, and I'm rooting for Banished personally as I own the Alan Wake games already. ;oP Wont be long until we know likely though. :)
Good forecast :) I really like american nightmare. As all of us know banished looks really cool, too. So in the end there is a happy ending for me :)

Outlast (I assume that's the one you're referring to) has been part of the Flash Deals from the beginning, it didn't show up today for the first time.
This means that from the eight unaccounted images, we've seen three games (freebies) and one discounted DLC.

metaljah: anyone here play the game "A New Beginning" ?? any good?
If you like classic point + click adventures with good storytelling and not too much hi-tech like fancy cutscenes ect. and you don't mind the comic like graphic style it is an excellent adventure with a message. Unfortunately afaik the english dub should not be very good (the German dub is very good) as I heard. I had much fun playing this game.
I think most would prefer it to be banished
Banished is to new to get a freebie slot .....

as we already saw, only old games, god old games.... get these slots.

but it seems indeed that the patterns repeat from early sales /different platforms!
Specially torchlight is a typical freebie in these events, even on different media (for aexample an print mag)!

(FYI; i hope you didn't die so far from my english)

So , let me guess what the next end last freebie could be...
it have to be an old game
maybe an typical freebie game
and maybe a game that already was a freebie

so we have;
-Dungon keeper gold
-Fallout 1+2+Tactics

..and by looking more over the plate edge..

-Sacred Gold (was once free in a Print magazine)
-Far cry 1 (was once free in a Print magazine)
-Postal 1 (was once a freebie ons team)
-Aquanox

What i would like to see is a new freebie in the freebie family! Something like:

-Icewind dale Complete Editon Gold Ultra Version.... ..... ... alpha 2 EX
-Flatout 2...not 1, not 3.... 2 ..just 2.... TWO...TWOOOOOOO ....
-Legacy of Kain (i had first here jack keane but then i thought..... with my brain..... stuff)

Muttala: still life 2 only 3 stars - that bad?
Omerta -2 stars

seems like the flash GA are hated games.. o.O
Unfortunately, yes. Still Life 1 is a great adventure with a ton of atmosphere. Still Life 2 still is imo still not bad but could never reach the first part.
I personally can't see it being Banished as the freebie. That game was released only 4 months ago, so I'm thinking it will be a deep discount offer, but not free (although I'd love it if it were). My bet is on Alan Wake's American Nightmare. Time will tell.

budejovice: Current percentage odds in Vegas for the 4th freebie:

74% Alan Wake American Nightmare
26% Banished
My bookie told me Banished was paying 6 to 1.

Ah, looks like you're right. I missed that when I was evaluating things earlier. It looks like we then have 4 that have showed up, 3 free, 1 DLC, and 4 as yet unaccounted for which are believed to be 1 freebie and 3 unknown.

Banished
Alan Wake's American Nightmare
Omerta: City of Gangsters Gold Edition
Outlast: Whistleblower DLC

Presumably they would offer one of the games as a freebie rather than the DLC, as some people would not own the Outcast game and not have a use for the DLC. I don't think GOG would do that, favouring instead something everyone could enjoy. They already had Omerta free, so the other Omerta entry is probably a discounted copy of the game now which the freebie earlier was used to promote. That leaves one of the two other games still as the contenders for freebie.

I haven't seen anyone mention it already, but if you already own a game that comes up free and click on FREE anyway, you will receive a gift code to pass on. I confirmed that with Torchlight, so that's pretty cool too.

Senteria: I bet Jack Keane will be the next free game.
Jack Keane? Do not worry, I know how to deal with their ilk.
Attachments:
Even though I already own it on multiple platforms, Torchlight is still a good game for a freebie.

If you're a fan of your kneecaps, I'd still go AWAN. :)
Sweet Torchlight, I have it in Steam but rather have it here.
