Alright, if you don't mind, may I ask for just ONE little hint, it doesn't have to be too revealing, but just maybe something that'll shift a tectonic plate a few millimeters in the right direction: WHY these movies and superheroes? That is all.

on the list, tempted to say "no reason" but that wouldn't be true and "no reason" is possibly itself a bit of misdirection. You can't have the game without the list, the list exists to serve the game. To say more before the end would be unfair to others that tried without knowing the underlying answer.
