oldschool: Wasn't Wizardry once an U.S. based RPG not a JRPG? JRPG are fine and there are alot of great examples. Somehow, it just feels wrong.
There's nothing wrong with that. Japan has always loved Wizardry, since the 80s, seemingly a lot more than the West and has been keeping the series alive for the last 20 years.

Hikage1983: The launch trailer features the steam and humble logos only. Unless something happens behind the scenes in the pre-release window (May 29 is launch day), i wouldn't hold my breath.
GOG rarely gets featured in trailers even when the game is confirmed to be coming here, though. We'll just have to wait and see.

While that is generally true, Xseed usually announces all platforms from the get-go.

This is the case. There are more Wizardry games in Japanese than English.
I was masochistic enough to play through the Elminage games, and the difficultly level can be punishing at times, although the games are ultimately great fun. I've also played through all the Wizardry and Bard's Tale games (and various clones) back when they were current, so I really love the old school dungeon crawls. That being said, I know Wizardry: Labyrinth of Lost Souls is pretty hardcore too, and a bit of a departure from the traditional Wizardry series, but if it appeared on GoG, I would definitely buy it, so fingers crossed that GoG and Xseed can make this happen.

samuraigaiden:
Is this a joke?

I guess the audience for GOG is too distinguished and intelligent for blobbers.
Goddamn GOG is getting worse by the day.
Maybe it is another DRM-free thing, many other XSEED games are not published here, because of their DRM-nature.

So of course GOG would reject it, if the developer wants it to have DRM here.

Whatever, no buy on Steam, if it comes here, I will buy it, if it doesn't there are other ways to optain it. Sorry XSEED.
Well, this is very disappointing.

First person dungeon crawls are one of my favorite type of games.

That could be it. GOG is DRM free which is why it is such a great site, if the publisher of Wizardry: Labyrinth of Lost Souls wasn't willing to release without DRM that would definitely impede it releasing here.

Hopefully there will be additional negotiations and it will end up for sale on GOG in the end.

So the fact that it will be DRM free on Humble kinda disproves this.

Vexing.

I hope this doesn't mean GOG's staff thinks that first person dungeon crawls are unwanted, as that is exactly what I want! T_T

A mighty shame! I might not be a fan of fanservice anime look prevaltent in so many blobbers (just look at those female characters and how weirdly they stand with the feet facing inwards and look like 8-year olds!), but it's a shame that they reject a blobbler, no less a Wizardry and an AAA title. Especially given that it has no MP features and they accepted Elminage and other Japanese JRPGs. Can we get a mod clarifying what they didn't fulfill?

I like your avatar, what game is it from by the way?
