Probably, mostly because I'm curious about this game boost thing that isn't coming to 10.

Sarafan: I don't expect Windows 11 to adapt among the users quickly. I even think there will be trouble adapting it at all. People might want to skip this generation of Windows and wait for the next number just like they did with Windows 8. Some of the requirements of the new system are quite ridiculous. Microsoft is cutting himself from a wide range of users. Given the shortages, I doubt that people will run straight away to the shops just to make their hardware compatible with W11.
And we all know how well they did with 8. "Let's make every system a tablet interface and no discernable way to do anything! People will just accept it and not throw their computers out the window..."

Honestly, if i didn't have a good gaming card, i'd be half tempted to go to text mode again. Switching console screens and doing text-only wasn't that bad, plus the white on black was much easier on the eyes.

Though browing with lynx where 'there's a picture here' doesn't help much...

Backtracking?

why you expect a Hard-disk sudden preform miracles?

if you play games from a NVMe you don't really need this feature it's already loading at optimal speed.

"TPM 2.0 was only released in 2019, suggesting that PCs made prior to that year may be incompatible with Windows 11."
hmm makes no sense , where did they get this
and why my pc shows tpm specification is 2.0 when it is older ?

Ork,

I supposedly have a motherboard and BIOS that supports TPM 2.0 in BIOS, but when I enable it, the "can you run it" software MS released still says nope to the nope.

My system is not that old. I have a B450 motherboard. Oh well, I'm not super interested in upgrading to Win 11. If I want a custom dock, I'll just reinstall ObjectDock from Stardock.

Hmm, that's stupid if they keep it this way

I have a b350, which runs my Ryzen 3600 just fine. Will be weird if that's a lockout, not that I'm in any rush at all anyway.

10 is perfect. Every time I've upgraded there was always some sort of issue. So, yeah, I'm sticking with 10

I also run a 3600. No matter what settings I adjust, it tells me my pc is not compatible. shrugs

I have heard that the tool also check the space available on your C drive maybe that's the issue.

Not sure about that. It told me it doesn't support TPM 2.0 even though in my BIOS it says it does. I'm not in a rush to upgrade anymore so frankly idgaf, but it's pretty telling that a system I built not even 2 years ago is reported as being too old according to Micro$oft's own tool.
Well, since I'm on a 7th gen Intel CPU it looks like the question on whether to upgrade or not has answered itself.
