Aliasalpha: Don't hog them all, I need some for my undead army and a few hundred extra good looking ones to sell to necrophiliacs. I need a steady cashflow, undead armies don't just equip themselves you know!

They do, actually.

Aliasalpha: That why i use dwarves as slaves. They work fast and make great equipment.
Once they die just turn them in to a undead minion. We use human slaves to mine ore.
Elf slaves are sold to rich kingdoms.
My undead army will have the best weapons and armor in the land thanks to enslaving other races.

Not round these parts. The majority of weapons the dead would be likely to be buried with would be likely to be wooden and centuries old. Then again, I don't think the local aborigines went in for grave goods anyway so I'll need a smithy to forge some decent weaponry.
That or just give them all light machine guns and giggle as the recoil shatters the army in one vast explosion of bullets and bone
Also I don't go into slavery, its just a revolution waiting to happen at an inconvenient moment. I'll stick with paid and motivated employees

Ah, there we go :)
That why we have magic.Any slave trying to kill me,minion, or try to escape is kill by a slay living spell.
Sure a enemy mage may be able to dispel the magic. After they got pass my hordes of undead and my small army of undead mages.
BY the time they could do all that the slaves would be new undead minions for my army.
Two 'new' games are out on the front page.

Ooh a nice change from last week's horror/fantasy theme! Oh wait.
Does Activision do anything else? Can you, ya know, mix it up A BIT?

barleyguy: I would definitely consider NOLF to be a good old game. It was originally released in 2000. It would be an instabuy for me if it's released.

Michagogi23: while it may certainly be old by some standards, to me gog only exists because us older folks wanna play games taht are hard to get to run on modern computers and can't be bought anymore (i.e. essentially anything coming out between 1980-1995). i can buy no one lives forever for 3 pounds off of amazon right now and wouldnt have a problem getting it to run.
i dont fault you for wanting what you want, im just surprised that there seems to be an almost greater demand for "newer" games than truly old games here.

As much as I liked them the first time around, I now have trouble getting into most games with VGA and lower graphics. (There are notable exceptions that would be cool, like the Monkey Island series.) The "old" games I am looking for are from the DirectX era, circa 1997-2002. Also, I am looking for DRM free releases, as that's one of my primary reasons for coming here. Especially in that 1997-2002 era, a lot of the DRM was quite nasty, i.e. Starforce and Tages. That's why I would rather see something here than dig for a CD in a bargain bin.
I'm not sure if I speak for the majority here, but I'm not surprised that there are many others who are looking for older Windows games.

You know my point, right? Wouldn't MORE people be interested if something like Tony Hawk, Battlezone or Civ:CTP was released instead of more bloody horror games weeks in a row?
The idea of three updates a week is to keep coming back, no? Perrsonally I'm losing interest in checking in for anything more than the sales... and eventually I'll have all I'm interested in, the way it's going.

I agree that there is no shortage of horror games on GOG. Hadn't even thought of Tony Hawk. The PC version of Tony Hawk 2X would be fun to have here.

Saying it's two weeks since a decent game is ridiculously hyperbolic though. Gabriel Knight -is- a decent game, one that's extremely loved by many many people.
The Activision announcement was one week ago, and it brought hundreds, if not thousands, of new visitors in. You make it sound like the announcement was two months ago, during which time GOG have done nothing but release mediocre horror titles.
