Also, a holiday tradition for me is to put the Lord of the Rings trilogy on back-to-back for a whole day and let them all play through. I don't watch the entire thing, I just use it as background noise and it's great, because you can all sit and watch your favourite bits (everyone grabs snacks for Helm's Deep).

Not based on Christmas....or any other holiday! :P

Still, I do cherish them both.

I see alot of terrible choices for a Christmas movie. Christmas movies should make you feel good.

1. Emmet Otters Jugband Christmas.
2. Santa Claus The Movie.
3. All the old Rudolf stop motion films.

There are three movies I watch every year around Christmas:

The Muppet Christmas Caro
Little Lord Fauntleroy
It's a Wonderful Life

I know.

I saw their treatment. I saw the US edition. It's not even close to being as weird as the original release.

I just realised my favourite movie is also a christmas movie, it just didn't register with me as a christmas movie because I watch it all year round.

Let me give a big recommendation for Tokyo Godfathers.

That is a great movie! I had almost forgot about it.
If you liked you might try Wings of Honeamise although it's not a Christmas movie.
