Was excited to get home from work and see what the first release of the year was... Hopefully the lack of a release today is because something big is on the horizon and not preparing us for a year of weak releases!

As far as my guess on what the first release will be? Let's see... Probably something super unique and original in the not even remotely oversaturated indie-2d platformer with pixel art genre. Just a guess. There were only three trillion of them released last year, so we definitely need more here.

Clearly gog needs more hipster indie games.
Anyone else thinking that keeping "Shadow Tactics", which released almost a full month ago, in the "What's new" tab is a really bad sign?

I'll take a "hipster" indie game with "pixel art", whatever that is supposed to denote, over this era of nothing any day. The diverse mechanics of an Evoland II, the brilliance of a Dex, the emotional intensity of a Wadjet Eye adventure game or the sheer all around excellency of Owlboy, those are the intense rays of light that this distributor needs several times a week.
