One of the few times I'm glad a review included major spoilers, saved me from going to the cinema to watch this.

Emmanuelle Seigner (the girl from Frantic) was playing a nameless character in the Ninth Gate. That character was called "the girl" in the credits.

Yeah I wasn't a big fan of 9th Gate. It wasn't bad I just didn't think it was a real gem like most of the folks associated with that movie are more known for.

Really? It's one of my favorites. It think Langella's 'Mumbo Jumbo' scene is great, as well as his finale. I thought the movie echoed back to the 'Satanic witch coven' movies of the Seventies, while moving that niche along nicely.
