Zeewolf: It seems you won't figure it out without a lot of help. This is an Amiga-game. It's one of few big-budget Amiga-only games designed specifically for CD-distribution (CD32 - big hint), though it was available for regular machines as well.

[EDIT] Hehe, the files were actually named missionimpossible1 & 2.gif, but I guess there's a 16 character limit on filenames.
