Ah, missed this one. It's Creatures 2: Torture Trouble. Freaky game. :)

Ok, found an interesting oldie (which I'd like to see on GOG). It was released under two different names.

It is indeed.
Yours has me stumped. It looks like Populous 1 - The RPG, but no such game exists. Bullfrog apparently didn't make it, so someone has done a blatant ripoff of their interface. I have no idea what it is.
It's Ultimate Domain, never heard of ...
New game.

Could it be my long lost relative, Airwolf? Yes, it could. :-)

Also, you were right about Ultimate Domain (I knew it as Genesia). It was a very interesting little game, sort of The Settlers meets Civilization.
Ok, this one could be a bit difficult. Hope it isn't too obscure, though. There was a lot of buzz about it when it was originally released.

Okay, some hints: One of the lead developers of this game was a legend on the C64, and is still active. The last game he was credited on is Burnout Paradise. He also, pretty much single-handedly, created the classic the secret game is a sequel to. He also co-designed one of Wishbones favorite games. :-)

Now I just have to figure out which games you think are my favourite :-/
Hehe, I'll give you another hint: You've mentioned it in this thread. :-)
Edit: Though clearly I don't expect you to go through the credits of all the games you've said you like... :-)
I'm going to bed now, so continue without me if you or anyone else find the right game.

It seems you won't figure it out without a lot of help. This is an Amiga-game. It's one of few big-budget Amiga-only games designed specifically for CD-distribution (CD32 - big hint), though it was available for regular machines as well.

Well, in that case it's Liberation, which I have never, ever heard of, nor of its predecessor Captive.
Here's a brilliant (but difficult) RPG.
[EDIT] Hehe, the files were actually named missionimpossible1 & 2.gif, but I guess there's a 16 character limit on filenames.
