I finally finished Mirror's Edge the other day. I have quite mixed feelings about it, on the other hand I enjoyed it quite a bit (at least at times, e.g. the levels where you were being chased by other runners), on another lots of things I didn't like, like the replay value apparently being nil. After you have figured out how to proceed in the rather linear levels, there's not much reason to replay it, right?

Did the game end in a cliffhanger? The protagonist just killed some lackey while saving her sister, and now she is supposed to go after the Big Man? Maybe I should replay the last chapter to see what exactly they were blabbing about.

Again I have a bit hard time concentrating on any of the unfinished games in my backlog. I tried a bit of GTA: Vice City yesterday, but I got bored after trying one "kill Haitians and steal their drug truck" mission a couple of times. Meh, I think I'm getting a bit of GTA-clone overload now, as I also tried to play a bit of Saints Row 2 and Mafia.

Now I'm getting an itch to install the three Homeworld games and start playing them, finally. I have a bit of itch for a RTS or RPG game. I should install Baldur's Gate and Elder Scrolls: Arena on this laptop (rather than my work laptop), as then I'd be more likely to play them.

For some reason I don't feel like continuing the Half-life 2 Episodes either. I think I have a generic action game overload, not just a GTA-clone overload.

Got CIv4 a few days ago from the steam sale installed the ffh2 mod and seeing as I have never played a civ game in my life (or any strategy type video games really) I'm terrible at it :/

that being said since I had a few days off I've ended up spending a total of 18+ total hours playing this game when people call it a time vampire they're not kidding lol
Got Sword of the Stars: The Pit on sale from steam a little while ago. Seems pretty interesting
Fired up L.A. Noire (PS3). So far, very disappointed, but the game has charm that I want to see through.

Driving is ridiculous. Camera angle changes at random which inverts the controls. Hard to drive from the "tire-cam".

There doesn't seem to be any discernible difference between "Doubt" and "lie". At least, the character mannerisms are the same. This is more frustrating as I was looking forward to a game where real life logic would actually work. Seems like a coinflip in my short experience.

Was really hoping for an open world, exploration game where lots of thought and deduction were required. Seems more linear and illogical in most places :(
Currently playing The Last of Us on PS3, still hacking away at Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate on the Wii U and just started getting into Earthbound on the Wii U
Prince of Persia: Warrior Within

I made a mistake and watched Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (movie) so I need to get some real Prince of Persia experience. I've finished the Sands of Time some time ago so Warrior Within is the most logical choice here.
Brutal Doom!
I'm playing Moto Racer 2 and I'm loving it but one question: WHO IN THE HELL HAS MOTORCYCLE RACES IN THE DEAD OF NIGHT WITH NO TRACK LIGHTS!?!?!

3rd world countries without electricity would have at least offered up torches or flares or those groovy green things that glow when you crack them. I actually know where some 3rd world countries can get some of those. I know for a fact that Croft woman left a shit load of them laying around last time she was there plundering your tombs.
Castlevania 3 Dracula's Curse (NES)

Belmont and Grant: Cleared
Belmont and Sypha: Playing
Belmont and Alucard: Cleared
Alone Belmont: Playing
The last games I finished are Gothic 3 Enhanced Edition and Primordia. I guess the next game I'll play will be Inquisitor.
I am replaying The Last of Us before the game will be bought at auction. It's epic and I can't recommend it enough to anyone who owns PS3. Characters are written beautifully, world feels complete, stereotypes are there as little as possible, no bikini chains or any BS, it has atmospheric soundtrack mixed with silent places and it looks great (at least as much as PS3 limitations allow). While I had been expecting a cliché ending, the game surprised me by continuing and adding more and more awesome.
My only gripe was crappy controls but hey, it's a shooter handled by controller, what can I expect.

It is every inch Naughty Dog game in down-to-earth packing. It's a shame their titles are PS2/PS3 exclusives. This way people will probably talk about them but not play them in 10 years. I guess it's like with EA, quid pro quo. They wouldn't have existed otherwise.

Oh, and I finished Portal 2. It was okay; the second run of tests was dragging out forever. I'm curious how fun co-op with my co-worker will be.

I seriously wish they'd have left the collect-a-thons out though with the comics, Firefly tags and so on. It makes my OCD scratch itch and distracts from the game.
Picked up Scorchers DLC during the sale, so I'm now starting up my RAGE play-through again.
Regardless of the hate it got, I like RAGE. It's a very enjoyable FPS. Although I'm thinking I may have to alternate between KB+M (on foot) & game-pad (driving).

Ehm, it's the main reason why I am replaying it. The first playthrough was okay although when the game set the faster pace I have stopped and looked for collectibles two or three times :/. The amount of artifacts hidden in the game is insane; it almost competes with Assassin's Creed's flags. Tomb Raider was golden in comparison.

That's not a flattering comparison though - one of the most irritating things about Assassin's Creed was those fucking flags. I eventually just gave up as scouring every little corner of the cities became tedious.

Mind you, the way Uncharted did it (lets you keep the collectables from your last playthrough) was a bit more bearable, and I assume TLOU does it the same way with New Game+.
