ciemnogrodzianin: It takes a few hits to knock enemy down. I've never faced such problems using crowbar in real life (: Since they're starting to run and make a lot of noise, a situation quickly escalates into something totally different then usual stealth gameplay ;)

Will try that baton.
Do they die from the crowbar? It may be it is not considered as a knock-down weapon like baton, but you are basically beating the guard to death with a crowbar, even if you do it from behind.

You were absolutely right. Only baton works like you've described. Thanks, it makes the whole thing much simpler.

morrowslant: Magic Carpet Plus update:

Bumping up the memsize & allocated CPU cycles settings in the dosboxMC.conf file for Magic Carpet Plus makes a ton of difference.
Maneuvering around is roughly 150% better, now my main complaint with the game is bees & restarting maps because I didn't find all the spells on a map on the 1st attempt.

Here's the modifiied dosbosMC.conf settings if anyone cares:
=========
[dosbox]
memsize=64

[cpu]
cycles=55000
cycleup=10000
cycledown=10000
=========
Thanks for that, the bees are a pain. It's pretty crazy to think that this was the other shooter that came out around the same time as Doom did.
Started dead space again, I want to 100% the game this time.
I'm playing the "I hate everyone, **** off and die please" game.

Isn't that an MMO?

Yep, everyone's favorite MMO - Earth 2018

Anyone here played Episodes from Liberty City?

I gather the two stories that make it up are expansions, or DLC, so am I to assume they are relatively short?

I especially liked Lost & Damned biker gang expansion. They seemed to have a decent amount of missions, maybe a little smaller than half GTA4's story mode each, with different main characters and style. Rockstar are pretty generous like that.

The shield spell you eventually find is really useful vs bees.
Remember finding it on a map where once you grabbed it, a huge wave of archers spawned. That level was attrition 101 for me, couldn't quite kill the enemy mage before he'd zip off to his base/couldn't quite destroy his base before he'd zip back and re-spell it back.

They are quite short compared to base game. And they are nothing special but still good enough. I didn't liked Lost & Damned that much, Ballad of Gay Tony was a bit better for me.

I started to play Turok 2 EX. This game is abysmal, i can't find the fourth girl to save. Level structure is not good and map doesn't help at all. There is also a place where i have to use some kind of artifact i think but it's nowhere to be found. Also it's ugly as sh!t and boring while Turok 1 was very pretty and fast paced game. And i don't understand since when TekBow is so weak, i can't kill fat alien-grenadier with one shot like it should be.

I've been at the final mission of #4 all day and about to quit on it. I hate doing that but a 10 min car drive, followed by 10 more minutes of shooting, then the helicopter jump you have to turn your processors off to make which makes the jump suck because you can't like the thing up with the frame skip, and then you need to avoid missiles that the guide and FAQs say "Shouldn't even hit you" and yet hit me EVERY TIME.

And what happens when I get grazed by one? I NEED TO START OVER FROM THE VERY BEGINNING!!!!!

I finished this mission with fraps to lower the cycles in order to jump into the helicopter (Rockstar are idiots to not patching thoroughly). I was killed the next second and started all over again. Next time i just lowered my altitude a bit and start strafing to the left or right soon after missile was launched. As far as i know there will be a checkpoint on an island, but island sections is extremely easy. So try it again and win the day, you can make it.

Have you tried strafing and changing altitude at the same time?

You may also "cheese" your way towards the island:
