Ultimate General Gettysburg, Ageod's Civil War II, Frank Hunter's Civil War, Forge of Freedom, and the Dukes of Hazard racing game. Basically, anything that features the Confederate flag. Because that's how I roll. As of yet I haven't installed the Jim Crow Law political Simulator, though that's on the to-do list.

Yeah I'm playing the GOG version(s). I read the originals (without 3rd party fixes) had a problem for many where the ingame gamma settings didn't work at all. For me they seem to work (GOG versions), but on some levels and some places I still have problems seeing much, even if I have the gamma settings at full and laptop screen brightness at max. It also depends on how bright the room is where I am playing (reflections from the screen etc.), so playing in a dark room helps too.

Playing on the LED TV works better, but also there I need to set TV's gamma settings near to full. But then at least I'm able to see better also in the dark sections of levels.

I think the level where you were following a messenger was one of the worst, it felt I couldn't see shit most of the time.

Interesting that the last mission would be the least favorite for you, as some Thief 2 Wiki page lists it as "arguably the best Thief 2 mission". :) The atmosphere is great with the speeches from the speakers etc., but those robot spiders are super-annoying. For the bigger mechs, I feel I've already destroyed like a dozen of them one by one, but still I face more. :) If I see a lonely mech, I try to disable and destroy it without using any water arrows (trying to approach from the back, and blackjack it 18 times to disable, and a few more times to properly destroy it).
Just finished Spec Ops :).Nice now to move onto a GOG rpg :D
Victor Vran, got it on Steam in the sale for about €8, it will get its full release in july afaik but it is even in this early stage REALLY fun.
Currently alternating between:

What do you think of Riddick? I've bought it in the sale but haven't played it yet. Is it a game I should play now right away instead of other games?
Only of my favourite games of all time. But then, Riddick is my favourite movie franchise of all time. But the game is great (if not a bit dated). The AI leaves a bit to be desired too.
LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 and Batman: Arkham Asylum.
I'm roaming the Skellige archipelago in The Witcher 3: it is by far the best locaiton in the game -so far, at least- yet, after an almost flawless start, a lot of annoying bugs are starting to show up.
I hope the 1.07 patch will be released soon!
Replaying Gothic 2 NoTR. Was revisiting Fallout 2, but lost interest. Again.

How is Lego Harry Potter? I mean all Lego games are fun but is it good for fans of the books and movies?

It is, actually. The developer has clearly used the movies for reference. Places, characters and movie scenes are instantly recognizable and the story is more or less in line with the movies the way all LEGO games are.
What I mean by that is that you do play through all the famous movie scenes, but the developers added lots of LEGO oriented gameplay elements. Sometimes this leads to precise re-enactments of the movie, but where that wouldn't fit with the LEGO game principle (which is most of the time), they added stuff or changed it so it's more fun to play.

There is one notable element that really annoyed me at first though (but which I have gotten used to since): There are no voiceovers. As a result, all the characters do is make weird "Eh?" "Uh?" "Hmm" noises. This happens throughout the game, but ALSO in the cutscenes. Listen to the first two minutes of this clip, for instance. EVERY voice in the game is like this. I don't really notice anymore, but the first few hours I turned of the cutscene sound repeatedly.

That goes for all Lego games, Star Wars, Indy, Batman, etc.

That's what I thought too, but I recently saw a video of LEGO Jurassic World which does have voiceovers.
I haven't checked the other ones yet except for LEGO Indiana Jones though.

I don't really mind the way voices are done with Lego because they are Legos. XD What i mean is, I think it would be too much to see a Lego figure with Alec Guinness' voice shooting out it. :P They are just little pieces of plastic and they don't need to articulate beyond grunts. XD
