Hitman 2 - Good game, still getting used to the mechanics of how and when enemies detect you are a suspicious person.

SWAT 4 - great game. There are some sick people out there, some of these missions are nasty.
Xenonauts (thanks IAmSinistar :D) - Even though it's a little janky and definitely seems like an imitation, I'm still enjoying it a hell of a lot. I'm at the point now where I'm starting to get attached to certain soldiers.
Xenonauts - And, no, not because I got a freebie. I actually bought it on release last year. Yeah, go figure. At the very least the pseudo freebie from GOG reminded me to give it a proper go. I'm definitely enjoying it thus far... even though I'm kind of learning as I go. Now here's a sad fact: on my very first crash site engagement I lost half my team due to not properly paying attention. That was the quickest do-over ever. ;) I haven't that kind of issue again though. Yet I only found out how to build extra bases a few hours in; I was kind of assuming I had to wait to build another. Nope. I was wondering why I had so much dosh to start with. Doh! And so the saga of blunders continues.
the gog release of rainbow six right now.
The Witcher 3
Finally beat it a few days ago, really liked it and the ending(that I got). :)

Capitalism 2
It's been years since I played the game on CD and after all that time I really think the game isn't nearly as good as I remember but that could be because of playing Capitalism Plus(which is by far the better game) after the fact.

Batman: Arkham Asylum
After many years of owning this game and not been able to play it, I finally got around ot playing it. Ain't bad though I don't really care for the combat much to be honest.

Final Fantasy 7 (PC - Steam Version)
Another oldie though this time I've never played the pc version before; I did run into a couple of graphical gliches though they may have been in the original version. Got [way] more to play, just beat the very first boss..

Letter Quest: Grimm's Journey
Picked this game up in a bundle a few days back, not that bad considering I did not even give thought to the game when buying it. Nice take on scabble and a simple rpg.

Wasteland 2
I got the game I've been wanting for a while now in the gog sales, so I'm happy about that :)
While I have not put that much time into it yet*(!) I don't really like the combat compared to shadowrun (as of now) and save scumming parts. Really like the Fallout/Wasteland setting and Fallout-ish Map movement system.
The 1866 mod for Mount & Blade. Started a new character, this one is nothing more than a bounty hunter. In a few hours time I've managed to make enough money to buy a horse, the best armor, the best pistol in the game and I splurged and spent 41 dollars on a rifle that holds 25 rounds at a time. Unfortunately that rifle is about as useful as throwing pebbles at the enemies, so that was a waste of 41 dollars (which is a lot of cash in 1866).

While just like in the base game, having better weapons gives you a clear advantage in 1866, having better armor isn't *that* much of an advantage, anything above the cheap trash weapons can still hurt you, a lot, even with the best armor in the game. Compare that to the base game where the best armor makes you a demigod. Decked out in the best equipment in the base game you can take on entire groups of enemies alone, but trying that in 1866 that will just get you gunned down unless you're fighting a a handful of low level or ill equipped enemies.

Great great mod.
As a brawler it's pretty fun, and kind of arcadey. As a loot game it's OK. There is a lot of stuff to find and upgrade with, but it starts to feel a little tedious after a while. As an RPG it's a bit shallow. Pretty generic leveling system. The levels are branching, so that helps cut down on repetitive questing. The bosses are interesting. The story isn't great, but serves it's purpose.
Overall I liked it, and I'm hoping to hear that Vanillaware has a new game coming out sometime soon.

info_paradox: I'm switching between Dragon's Crown, Terraria, and Guilty Gear Xrd at the moment.
I'll probably be checking out No One Lives Forever soon.
I'm waiting for Persona 5 and Tales of Zestiria to come out.
Zestiria was going to be my big summer game, but it got pushed back from Q2.

cecil: I really want to play Dragon's Crown is it as good as it looks?

NoNewTaleToTell: Lemma (demo). It's a Mirror's Edge clone in terms of gameplay (first person parkouring) with a unique setting.

Ignoring the story and setting (I haven't seen enough to speak on it) the gameplay is (in my opinion) much better than Mirror's Edge. The controls feel natural and there are a lot less buttons to press though you're doing the same moves as in Mirror's Edge, and the overall character movement itself is solid (no sliding on glass style movement).

Each area is linear but open, in the sense that there is an "exit" to each area but you're free to explore and there are things to discover if you do a bit of wandering.

Graphically it looks great, it uses voxels to make a blocky Minecraft-y world but with clean modern high quality textures to avoid resorting to a tired 8/16bit look. The world is fairly surreal and dreamlike, each area seems to be a filled with mounds of bricks creating walkways and walls, abandoned towers and ruins, all just hanging in the sky .

All in all I'm enjoying the demo and would like to pick up the full game sooner or later.

cecil: Where'd you get the demo from? that does sound really fun. If it is for Mac i'd add it to my watch list.

LJChronx: An update on Dust: An Elysian Tail. I must be taking my sweet time, as Ive played 6 - 7 hours already and am still in chapter 2. I just unlocked my sliding ability, which is nice. So many places to explore now...

After my first hour or two I was wondering if the game was going to get repetitive and I stuck with it and Im glad I did. I like the Metroidvania gameplay a lot and of course the graphics are gorgeous. Great game and I believe I won the game in a giveaway here on GoG (I think, sorry to the person who donated if that's the case, might have bought it on sale). Either way, I would pay for it in a heartbeat.

cecil: I loved that game so much it's probably one of the best games I've played lately if not ever. Art style alone is awesome only thing I didn't love about it was the ending.
Dragon Age Origins: Ultimate Edition.

I love this game but it's almost too big for its own good. Knowing there is over a 100 hours can be intimidating. I don't mind long games but some times shorter games means you can play more games. I prefer to play one game at a time so the thought that it will be quite a while before I can play anything else is a bit scary to me.
Well, I've finally decided to start completing some of the old games I have lying around, and right now I am in the process of completing Heroes of Might and Magic IV on that list!
Fallout New Vegas, NCR path.

Yeah I have the same problem. If I get to game for 10 hours in a week I had a good gaming week. So a 100+ hour game can take me a long time. During that time I get the urge to play something else and then I have multiple games going and then when I get back to the 100+ hour game I can't remember what was happening in the story line!

Anyways I just finished up the fifth installment in the Heroes Chronicles series(The world tree) and I have started playing settlers 4.
Just had a pretty good run on Spelunky in that I got to the City of Gold and got the Book of the Dead for the first time. Unfortunately I got myself killed after defeating Olmec because I didn't know how to enter the underworld and ended up just falling into the lava. Oh well. I'll keep at it.

I'm sure Spelunky will end up having by far my greatest number of time played as Galaxy adds it up.
Saints Row: IV. Still going after 100%, I'm up to 92% now. All that is really left for me to do is find all the data clusters, and I've already found about half of them. I've gotta say, hunting for data clusters (much like looking for gold coins/tokens or whatever in other games) and thinking "gee, only 100 to go!" really does bring on the thought of "what am I doing with my life?".

Have you found decent AI settings for your party member's combat behaviour? I play as a mage and have a party consisting of Alistair, Wynne and Leliana (ranged) and haven't found any decent AI settings yet.
Shadow Warrior 2013

This is a great game in my opinion and note that I never played the original. I think it accomplishes exactly what it set out to do which is bring the humor and over-the-top style of the 3D realms games into modernity. The swordplay is great and the weapon selection is classic although honestly if I'm not using the katana I usually go akimbo with the SMGs 90% of the time, very satisfying. I think I'm maybe a little more than halfway in? I stopped last time right when I got to the second boss.

If only Duke Nukem had gotten such a worthy reboot since I actually played Duke Nukem 3D. I still hold out the vain hope that this developer will produce a Powerslave reboot based on the console version.
