About to give the MMORPG "Dragon Oath" a try for the first time. Hoping my old comp can handle its requirements.

Vampire The Masquerade : Redemption.

Definitely showing its age at this stage, It looks pretty good and plays fine, but the cheesey cutscenes are guaranteed to make you laugh or vomit, depending on your state of mind when you see them :)

Baldur's Gate 2:

Damn, it is always so hard to let someone go from your party, which has been there from the very beginning... While starting the Throne of Baal expansion, I really wanted to get my old nemesis from the first game, Sarevok, to my party, as he is supposed to be a kick-ass fighter, and you can even dual-class him. And as I understand, you may be able to turn him (chaotic) good, if he is in your party.

Who should I let go to make room for Sarevok? This is hard:

- Keldorn: No way, he is the best tank fighter I have, at least before Sarevok. At the same time, on emotional level it would make the most sense to let him go as there is a family eagerly waiting for his return, and I have the least emotional bond with him (he didn't join the party until mid-game, and he is not really related to me otherwise, just a kick-ass paladin fighting on my side). But seeing him fighting alone hordes on enemies with his Carsomyr +5 sword makes other party members look in awe, forgetting everything else and going "aaaawww...".

Also, he has become somewhat of a leader of the whole party, a fatherly figure. I am a mage so I have to usually stay at the back row anyway, so if the goody-goody Keldorn is not leading the party to a fight, it would be either the retarded Minsc, the evil Sarevok that everyone else hates, or the character-less Jaheira who seems to be having her menopause.

- Minsc: this was my first choice, but he is already also a pretty bad-ass fighter with Crom Fayer +5 warhammer and the Flail of Ages +4 (dual-wielded). And on emotional level, he has been with me since the beginning, and also already in BG1. His ramblings and warcries are sometimes irritating, but occasionally he cracks me up: "Nooo! The shame! I am no man, and you are no hamster, Boo!" (or something close to that).

- Aerie: I could let her go considering I already have a kickass mage (me) and a healer (Jaheira)... but even though she is fragile, being both a mage and a cleric at the same time is handy. And actually I think she is the only person that I have with restoration spells, to heal from level drain by vampires. Beats having to always travel to temples to get rid of level drain, or carrying some silly scrolls for it.

And she is my love interest, after all! Nope, can't let her go anymore.

- Imoen: her thief abilities are certainly handy even though she is not progressing with them anymore (only progressing as a mage), but it could make sense to let her go as I could dual-class Sarevok as a fighter/thief instead. And I have enough mages already (me, and Aerie). And I think I already saved her soul too, so she could take a rest from saving the world.

But she is my sis anyway, and I have the longest history with her (ever since the beginning of BG1).

Jaheira: Ok healer, and at the same time a pretty good (but not stellar) fighter too. Not big emotional bond to her since I didn't pick her as a love interest... except that just like Imoen and Minsc, she has been with me from the beginning of the game (at least BG2, not sure if I had her in BG1). But from a practical point of view, I think Aerie + Minsc have enough healing capability (and three of my characters, especially the fighters, have regenerating health anyway), and with Sarevok I don't really need Jaheira's less than stellar fighter ability that much.

So I already continued without Jaheira. But damn, now I feel maybe I should drop Imoen instead for practical point of view, and turn Sarevok into a fighter/thief instead...

The Godfather (1) for the Wii.

One of the few games that was initially designed for traditional controls that works astonishingly well with the WiiMote. Smashing someone's head in with a tyre iron or strangling the life out of someone takes on a whole new dimension and feels much more brutal when you're actually mimicking the movements with the WiiMote.

Also, the firefights and executions in that game never get old.

I would've dropped Imoen. She's too whiny anyway :).

I'm starting to feel the same way, considering dual-classing Sarevok as a thief could make her completely obsolete. But she is my sis, and the first one to join my party in the beginning of BG1! Oh the agony...

It is like Luke would have kicked Leia out in the ending parts of the first Star Wars movie, or whatever. Leia could always go act in a Blues Brothers movie or something.

Depends on the play-trough :). If you want to role-play then I agree. If you want to power-play, then not.
I remember playing through BG2 solo with a Swashbuckler/Mage, so the game offers lots of alternatives :)

Dragon Age is on the backburner for now because I've already finished it once and I have other games I want to play. I still plan on playing it occasionally, but it isn't my focus.

Chaser. Wow. I remember mildly enjoying it the first time I played it, but this time I'm having a great time. It's not like it does anything particularly well-- the gunplay is satisfying but not particularly special, the sound won't blow anyone away (except, perhaps, for the music, which is excellent), and the good things about the visuals (large, good-looking settings, awesome cutscene "camera" work, and decent lighting and colors) are kind of leveled out by the bad ("meh" weapon designs, unoriginal setting, and awkward character models and animations). But despite the rather average individual aspects, they come together in a surprisingly good way. It's almost like the developers decided they wanted to make a game and just did it. The result was a decent game you can have a lot of fun with. I know I am.

Clive Barker's Undying. Undeniably great atmosphere, okay sound, and decent gameplay. I haven't played it quite long enough to say much else, but I'm having fun with it.

The Chaser sold here in GOG? Wow. I haven't played it yet, but from some other reports it appeared as one of the worst games on GOG or something.

And just earlier someone recommended the Judge Dredd game here, how much fun he had with it. And I thought that was supposed to suck balls too.

That's the one. I don't want to give off the wrong impression; a lot of the complaints about the game might be right. But it is by no means one of the worst games on GOG, and for whatever reason, everything about the game is just clicking for me right now. I will say, though, that I do remember that roughly the second half, or maybe the last third, of the game is kind of a slog. Story-wise it's a mess (not that the story is a primary reason to play the game anyway), and it gets pretty difficult. But yeah, for a mostly unknown game (at least to me), Chaser is, in my opinion, pretty stinking good.
Deadly Premonition DC, I can see why people think its shite, but I'm only 2 hours in so far, maybe it'll pick up..

Melhelix: Expeditions: Conquistador
Very pleasantly surprised. Really tight rpg that I am absolutely loving so far. Navigation took a little getting used to (honestly not really sure why, it just did.) Love the combat, love the skill use, love the dilemmas and dialogue. Probably 15~ hours in, and nothing bad to say about it so far. Can't wait to see how it ends.
That is good to hear have been wanting to get a copy for awhile and was wanting to hear some more about it.
Papers,Please-brilliant indie gem.Unique, complex and entertaining beyond any scale considering it's subject matter.
Batman:Arkham Origins-it's arkham city with a different paint job for the most part.It starts out really really underwhelming but if you give it a chance it's actually not bad at all.

Just properly started Vampire: The Masquerade, Bloodlines tonight after a generous gift from a giveaway on here a few nights ago.

I was only going to give it a quick go. Few hours later, here I am. I got up to the hotel bit and decided to leave it until tomorrow so I'll be able to sleep tonight. Seems a great game so far.
Playing The Witcher at the moment. The game is brilliant. Just arrived at the city. I have no idea if the choices I have made so far have been beneficial or not though.
