Markus Heitz - The Dwarves Tetralogy: The story about an orphan dwarf by the name of Tungdil and fate of five dwarven kingdoms.
The gog forums :).
Just finished the Malazan Book of the Fallen, and want to start Orb, Sceptre, Throne from Ian Cameron Esslemont someday...
The Guns of August by Barbara Tuchman.
Because the film came out recently, I decided to read Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card. Now it's time to see the film and be disappointed :P

Also, like blotunga, I read the GOG forums :D

grimwerk: I recently finished The Rain Wilds Chronicles (4 books) by Robin Hobb. I've read all her stuff, hoping for something as marvelous as the Farseer books. No luck yet. If you're looking for a fantasy series of which a significant portion is devoted to gay male characters, this would be it.
I have the first Rain Wilds book in my backlog. That is disappointing to read your review. Like you, I loved the Farseer books (all three trilogies) and the Soldier's Son was okay but slow.
Looks like she has a new Fitz and the Fool Trilogy with the first book, The Fool's Assassin, came out in August (according to wikipedia)

Edit: Looks like as of Nov 11th she is still working on the final edits for the Fool's Assassin

I'm in the middle of reading that myself. His politics are for shit but he get's an A+ for being able to tell a story.

Hopefully, you'll find something in the Rain Wilds that I didn't! That's great to hear there's another Fitz book coming.

Years ago, I read that Hobb had written under another name, Megan Lindholm. By the time I got to the bookshop, I couldn't quite remember that name. I wound up buying a few books by Melanie Rawn, thinking she was Hobb. They were okay, but too romantic for my taste, and again, didn't come close to Farseer. In looking up Fool's Assassin, I only just discovered my mistake. Ha. Six books I wouldn't otherwise have read.

I've read some interviews with her, and her other name (which I think is her real name) she said she used to different pen names because they were intended for two different audiences. So, the Megan one may not be to your liking either.
Mecha Corps (A novel of the armor wars) - Brett Patton.
Finished Ender's Game and really enjoyed it. Were the other books in the Series as good?

Decided to start reading Under the Dome by Stephen King.
At the moment, I'm finishing "A Jangada de Pedra" (The Stone Raft) by José Saramago and in an ongoing quest to read David Foster Wallace's "Infinite Jest".
Have a nice day: A tale of blood and sweatsocks - Mick Foley

Vapor ware - Richard Dansky

Recently finished Apt Pupil and a Dying Earth collection (not Vance other people).

Working on Deadhouse Gates (Malazan book two) at the moment.
Just flippin' through the pages of The Anarchist Cookbook by William Powell. Such a fascinating and practical book.
